Hi hive. It’s Miss Champagne. Remember me? The holidays have come and gone and a lot has happened! I’ve consumed more champagne and holiday cookies than I would like to admit. Any previously lost pounds have been gained back, Champ finally revealed our honeymoon destination (I whined so much that he told me!), and our invites are in the mail! Following the Christmas rush, I started to reconsider my thoughts about a wedding around the holiday season. I mean, c’mon—turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy—how is a girl to say no?!
My plan was to share our invites with you, but I got a new camera for Christmas and I’m still not quite sure how it all works so in the meantime I’ll share some winter wedding inspiration for you fellow brides who may have forgotten why we picked the food-filled holiday season to tie the knot. Here’s what I’m talkin’ ’bout:

Oh the photos I found on Style Me Pretty! Seriously, those pictures make me with I had planned my wedding for the winter!
Awwww this makes me want a winter wedding again! I always dreamed of getting married in Feb (President’s weekend) and then I met FH during President’s Weekend, but alas I have school that month 
So we’re getting married in August - the exact opposite. But I’m happy b/c this means we can have the whole celebration outside

Oh man, those pics are wonderful! It makes me want to change our date from October to a winter date in hopes of getting some pics like that!! We haven’t sent out any confirmations since we haven’t even finalized our venue yet, so maybe it could be in the works 
I’m February 2009 also, and I know what you mean. What were we thinking? We’re starting some serious cutbacks after our tasting tomorrow at our reception venue. I love that one with the lighted outdoor arch with snow, but man she must be cold! Those pictures are gorgeous.

I feel your pain on the cookie front. I’m getting married in two weeks and getting through the holidays was tough! Thank goodness for Weight Watchers–it really helped me stay on track.
I live in Maryland so we usually get a wintry mix but I”m praying for snow showers that day.
