About Mrs. Bee

Happy New Year!

January 1st, 2009 @ 5:57 pm by Mrs. Bee

2008 was a crazy, cool, wonderful, year for Weddingbee thanks to our superfantabulous readers, and our talentedawesomeblogariffic Bees.  The hive celebrated so many milestones in 2008… won’t you join me in reminiscing?

A bottle of Veuve Clicquot that the sweet Mrs. Lovebird gave me for my birthday.  New Year’s Eve! was the perfect occasion to open it!

Number of Bees that got married in 2008: 43… in chronological order!

I can’t begin to tell you how much I rove Mrs. Penguin rong time.  She is the best slave editor I could hope for! ;)  She truly loves Weddingbee, and there is no better qualification when it comes to running the site!

About

My behind the scenes rocks - BIL Bee and Mr. Bee.  They’re identical twins!  And they work so hard on programming, design, features… I would be completely and utterly lost without them.

About About

And of course there are the Bees, who are the heart of Weddingbee.  They always give so selflessly to the hive — I can’t express how much I admire their dedication, talent, creativity and friendship.  They continue to inspire me daily, and I thank them for their endless contributions from the bottom of my heart.

And if the Bees are the heart of Weddingbee, you dear readers are the soul.  Without you, Weddingbee would cease to exist!  Thank you so much for all the support, advice, insight, and love you’ve given all of us and fellow readers this past year.  We promise to thank you by trying to make the hive better with each passing year!

Much love,

Mrs. Bee

PS - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

I wrote this post while I was drunk at 4 am on New Year’s Eve, and it accidentally went live before I edited it. The post is updated now to make more sense… I’m actually in New Orleans right now! ;)

LoL @ mrs.bee.. I thought I saw that post on my reader but it wasn’t on here yet. I only wanted to read it here so I waited ;)

Happy New Year Bees!!! you all have accomplished a lot in 2008!! The best is yet to come so 2009 is going to be better I am sure.

To Mrs Bee thanks for giving other brides a place to get together and share ideas. I found this site in June and I have been hooked. The site has given numerous people so much inspiration on ways to have a wonderful wedding without going poor. I help 2 friends with their weddings in 2008 and I am helping my friend with her wedding in 2009. All due to the ideas and inspirations I gathered from Weddingbee.

Thanks to all the Bees for been so selfless and contributing to the community with the details of your planning.

Happy New Year Everybody and Congrats!!

Happy New Year all… 2008 was wonderful for me, but here’s hoping that 2009 is even better for all of us! (For me it will be the year I get married!)

I know that Miss SweetTea is now a Mrs. She has a blog of her own. If you click on my name, she’s in my blogroll so that you can see what she’s been up to.

Hey guys! Mrs. Bee is traveling now, so I thought I’d chime in. I don’t know the answers to all the questions, but I’ll do my best!

Mrs. Chickadee got busy as it got closer to her wedding. That’s happened to a number of Bees over the years (including Mr. Mango). We’re grateful for whatever each Bee is able to share on their wedding journey!

There are links to Mrs. Corn’s and Mrs. Emerald’s businesses in the post…

I believe some other Bees accomplished educational milestones this year as well - did Mrs. Coconut or somebody else pass the bar?

I’d love to see a where-are-they-now post about some of the bees that were not mentioned in this post, ie. Mrs. Apple, Mrs. Snail, Mrs. Pumpkin, etc.

I was just thinking of emailing you to ask for a similar summary (finally back to wedding stalking)…. one other “stat” I’m curious about.. any Bees with the big “D”? I’m always curious why it doesn’t work out for some married couples (so I can avoid those things). Anyway, maybe not the most happy topic, but I’ve been curious…

@creme_de_violet: We updated with all the news we had! There have been 150 bees or so at this point, so it will be increasingly tough to be exhaustive :-).

@AC: We would never share news like that, unless the Bee in question chose to blog about it and asked us to post it. I hope you understand.

@Mrs. Lemon: We added the second lemon! Congratulations on buying a home! It seems so adult. Must… stop… renting…
