Mrs. Glitter's Picture
Mrs. Glitter, Los Angeles Age and Occupation: 27, Research Consultant/Writer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Accounting Engagement Date: May 6, 2007 Wedding Date: June, 2009 Venue: Millenium Biltmore Hotel About Me: I was born and raised in West Los Angeles, California. I spent eight years in the Northeast working and completing my education. Having split time between two sides of the country has given me a true appreciation for both coasts. It has also provided an overabundance of cross country drives, flights and long distance relationship fun/misery! I love my family, my doggy Emma, fabulous wine, Anthropologie, politics, reading, being outdoors, exploring new cities, and good movies! My fiance and I are complete opposites, but somehow we have managed to fall completely and hopelessly in love.

Nifty Wedding Details

January 2nd, 2009 @ 8:32 am by Mrs. Glitter

I love the little details that make each wedding special and unique. As brides-to-be (and grooms-to-be), we are always searching for those elements that will make our day stand out from all the others. I thought I’d showcase some wedding ceremony and reception details that I find particularly stellar.

The first:

A chic aisle that transports you from Point A to your significant other.

I like that the aisle is a blank canvas. The plates serve as aisle markers (kinda) and hold flower petals. How very zen…

Here is a close-up of the plates and petals with a little note.

And the awesomeness that ensues as a result of this nifty idea!

Source of Inspiration: R. Jack Balthazar of Los Angeles

Have you seen a fun and unique ceremony detail?  Share it with the hive!

AH! I love it! I have no idea what to do to “decorate” our aisle…this is a possibility!

I love the picture of them walking down the aisle- gorgeous flowers! Our chapel won’t allow any pedals, but if they did this is a great idea:)

Very beautiful and I think totally do-able for most brides. Those modern benches for the ceremony are just fantastic.

Isn’t it all in such great taste?! If I were doing a modern chic wedding, I would copy this in a second. Actually, I may copy the concept anyway! :) Glad everyone likes it!
