Fitting Epiphanies

January 8th, 2009 @ 12:50 pm by Mrs. Crab Cake

My first fitting was today.  It went very well.  I took my camera, but honestly felt no need to photograph the event.  It was, well, uneventful.  I did learn a few things, thank heaven.

My shoes are not nearly as comfortable as I wanted them to be.  But I think it’s just my feet.  I have no cushion in the balls of my feet.  They didn’t pinch my toes, or my heels.  They just hurt the balls of my feet.  I will be purchasing a pair of foot petals.

There are some areas that need to be, well, toned, before the wedding.

Specifically, some back fat and some bat wings.

(source, source)

I think my back fat is worse, and my bat wings aren’t as bad.  But nevertheless, they both have to go!!

Did you have an ephiphanies during your fittings? What down-to-the-wire things do you need to accomplish to make your wedding day look perfect?

Hi Miss Crab Cake,
If I may offer one piece of advice from my own wedding a few weeks ago: Have alternative shoes for your reception just in case your heels become unbearable. My wedding heels were so adorable and they didn’t pinch but the balls of my feet hurt like a m-f-er! I was SO SO grateful that I had flip flops on hand. You can actually even find “platform” flip flops to match your heel-height so that the line of your dress is still perfect.

I really cannot recommend this strongly enough. So excited for you!!!

I’m starting Jillian Michaels 30 day shred today because of my wings… lets hope it works!

I also started using 30 day shred and some other tapes about a month ago, and my first fitting is Saturday…both excited and nervous!
