About Mrs. Powder Puff

Well Lookie What We’ve Got!

January 9th, 2009 @ 2:39 pm by Mrs. Powder Puff

Our invitations!

Well, our blank, we-have-so-much-work-left-to-do invitations.

The other day, I scooted on over to my local Paper Source for my first visit. And the sun shoneth down whilst the angels sang, for I had discovered the promised land. And all God’s people said, “Amen!”

Hallelujah, hallelujah!

After browsing for a good long while, I picked up these babies.

Want a closer look? Okey dokey!

One hundred A7 flat cards in soft white for the actual invitation.

And one hundred 4-bar flat cards in soft white for the response postcards.

But the best part about the trip was this guy.

What could this be? It’s an envelope liner template! Otherwise known as a life saver for a lazy DIY girl like me. In the set I purchased, you get nifty little templates for every conceivable envelope size. Now I have no excuse not to make our envelopes beautiful!

And so I don’t completely leave you hanging, here’s a sneak peek of our invites. Enjoy!

I’ll reveal the finished product to you after they’re printed and stuffed in their envelopes.

If you made your own invitations, what was the most helpful tool you used?

I can’t wait to see the finished product! And ditto Miss Sushi on the ATG gun. That thing is amazing and well worth the money.

I love Paper Source! I wish we had one here in Pittsburgh. That one you pictured is the 1st one I was ever in. Mr. DE were in Chicago a few years back and I forced him to go with me. Pap[er Source stores are on my “Places to See” list when I visit a different city.

What a sweet design! I’m designing ours, and the paper shipment came i this week! I’m so excited! I think you have the most helpful “tool” b/c I was at a loss for ideas for the RSVP card wording–until this post! Thank you!! I CAN’T WAIT to see the finished product!

I LOVE Paper Source, but I am the opposite of crafty. I actually got an email today from All She Wrote (it’s right down the street from the Paper Source on Armitage) and they are having a 20% off sale on their custom stationery. I’m going to get my thank you notes there. It would be so fun to try make them, but I have SO many to write that I just need to suck it up and pay someone else to make them!
