About Mrs. Glitter

A while back, when I was still a WB reader and not yet a bee, I entered a contest in an attempt to win a beautiful hair accessory from Naugi.com. I didn’t take any of it too seriously, because I am one of those people that never wins anything. Well, you can probably guess how this story ended. Days later I got an email from the lovely Mrs. Bee herself, telling me that I had won any Naugi hair accessory of my choosing! I jumped up and down with excitement, because if it wasn’t for this contest, purchasing an expensive headpiece was out of my budget.

So then came the difficult part of choosing the perfect piece. I knew I wanted something distinctive and vintage-inspired: something that would go well with my dress. (Yes, I know I’ve been totally annoying and haven’t yet revealed my dress!)

Here were a few of my final contenders:

The August Love Bridal Comb

Garden Party Crystal Hair Ornament

Winterberry Comb

Now that you’ve seen my final contenders, you are not going to believe which one I chose. It is completely different than all of the beautiful accessories shown above! But when I saw the picture of my piece, it was like nothing I had ever seen before. It is utterly distinctive, funky, and also one of the favorite pieces of Jessica, the mastermind behind Naugi. After I read that, I was sold. So now I give you my chosen hairpiece…

Part II of this post (coming soon) will ask you, dear readers, to vote on how I should wear this unique headpiece! (I keep wanting to say “hairpiece”… but doesn’t a hairpiece refer to a toupee? I can never get my wedding terminology correct!)

Are you wearing a unique headpiece for your wedding? What does it look like and how/when are you wearing it?

It’s gorgeous! I’m looking for a similar piece, but vintage, since I collect vintage jewelry. Fingers crossed…
