The Dress Saga, Part 4

January 13th, 2009 @ 12:35 pm by Mrs. Latte

The day has come! You ready for this??? I chose…

CAUTION: WHITE DRESSES AHEAD.

Mr. Latte, if you cheated and peeked before, that’s OK, I forgive you. But now I’m serious. Do not move ahead.

l1

JILLIAN!!!

I just love that she is a mixture of tradition, modern and romance… all rolled into 1 strapless silk taffeta ruffle-y dream of a dress!

l2

(Jillian from the front)

l3

(Jillian from the side/back)

I was so happy and relieved to have finally made this decision that I forgot to take a picture of myself in the dress. Darn. But I have something better for you… wanna see her swish??? Check out Melissa Sweet’s website for a video of her swishing-action.

If you remember from Part 3 of this saga, I was concerned with the fact that Jillian was just SO mermaid. So, we decided to remedy the situation by moving the seam up 2 inches. This gave her more of a fit-and-flare silhouette…muuuch better for my 5’2″ frame.

l4

(moving seams up…good choice)

So here ends the saga of the 2 1/2 dress bride. THE END.

Now… time to find the perfect shoes!!! :)

Has anyone else’s dress search turn into a SAGA?

@markyK: I ended up getting it at Kleinfeld’s…and they were filming an episode of Say Yes to the Dress that day. I tried to get myself on camera…look closely for a girl in the background walking back and forth a couple of times. ;)@Lillindy: Yes, they let me use my deposit towards Jillian and honored the same great deal I got before!
@chocochip: Oh no…those KS sandals are super cute. This is NOT good for me…
@Mrs. Emerald: I can’t pull it off either. Hopefully after a couple of hard-core months, I’ll be able to. Blah.
