Part XVII: A Walk Down Memory Lane

January 14th, 2009 @ 2:14 pm by Mrs. Pinot Noir

Weddings are chance for friends and families to come together and celebrate a new union and commitment of love. It is also a time to reminisce, celebrate family and remember loved ones. SIL Pinot made us an amazing video montage of our childhood and our relationship together.
The incredible video was the perfect way to tie together our past and our future.

Mr. and Mrs. PN…. this is your life.

We can’t even begin to thank SIL Pinot enough for creating such a meaningful video for us. It something that we will cherish for many years to come.

After the main course we gathered our guests in the next room to watch the video together. It was the first time Mr. PN and I had seen it and it was even better than we could have hoped for! It was also the only part of the day where I couldn’t hold back tears. SIL Pinot likes to say that she is 3 for 3 since she made similar videos for Mr. PN’s brothers and every video has evoked tears from the bride, and many guests as well!

I looove that video, and I love the music! Can I ask who was that singing “It had to be you”, or what version it was?

I love these “remember when” videos. I really really wanted to do something similar, but Mr. Avo is super private about his childhood photos AND it takes so much time to scan them all in!

@Samantha: it is a version on itunes that is sung by Frank Sinatra. It has a pretty loud horn section at the end that I edited out. But all in all, it’s a pretty good version.

I will say that of all of the videos that I have done, I had the most fun with Mr. and Mrs. PN. It was so fun to have a secret from them (since I see them all of the time)!! Plus, it really upped the teasing factor.
