Mrs. Glitter's Picture
Mrs. Glitter, Los Angeles Age and Occupation: 27, Research Consultant/Writer Fiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Accounting Engagement Date: May 6, 2007 Wedding Date: June, 2009 Venue: Millenium Biltmore Hotel About Me: I was born and raised in West Los Angeles, California. I spent eight years in the Northeast working and completing my education. Having split time between two sides of the country has given me a true appreciation for both coasts. It has also provided an overabundance of cross country drives, flights and long distance relationship fun/misery! I love my family, my doggy Emma, fabulous wine, Anthropologie, politics, reading, being outdoors, exploring new cities, and good movies! My fiance and I are complete opposites, but somehow we have managed to fall completely and hopelessly in love.
About Mrs. Glitter

My last post revealed the pretty, little thing that will serve as my official wedding headpiece! I’m so excited about it because it’s girly and sparkly, and I have never owned anything like it. So, on to the “voting”.

*****Mr. G, hit the road, buddy!**********

To refresh your memory…my selected Naugi.com headpiece:

On the big day, I will probably be wearing a veil and some type of fake or fresh flower in my hair for the ceremony. For the reception, I plan to whip out my headpiece and attempt to look all vintage-inspired and stylish. The keyword here is “attempt”. My chosen hairstyle is a romantic, loose updo. Kinda like this picture below, but more loose and free.

My question: How should I wear this beautiful piece? (Please excuse my ginormous head and funny looking hair. I quickly pulled my hair up just to give the effect of an updo.)

Option 1: Up front, to the side.

Option 2: Further back, and to the other side. (Only one picture because you pretty much can’t see it from the “front view”.)

Option 3: Fastened to the back of my updo. (Forgive me, I didn’t get any pictures of this option, as I quickly found out that one can’t accurately take pictures of the back of one’s head. But the woman who will do my wedding day hair suggested this option.)

I feel like I am giving you lopsided options, especially because Option 3 doesn’t contain any pictures. But, hopefully, you get a vague idea of what it might look like.

What do you all think? Or maybe you don’t like any of these options and have a different concept in mind? Please share!

To be a bit different, I like number 2. I think a little surprise bling at the side when you don’t see it from the front would be nice.

I like option 1, too– a lot of pictures will likely be taken from the front, and I think it’ll look gorgeous accenting your hair where it’s slightly more visible.

I think you should put it on the side that you part your hair, so keep it on the side you have your bangs on if that is sort of how you are going to wear them. So option #1.

you’re not doing #3 justice, i think it has potential, but hard for us to visualize! i do prefer 1 over 2, though i have a feeling 3 could be my fav.

Option #1 - the piece is so beautiful and the first option allows it the most visibility

From the pictures I like #1, but I think the idea of #3 sounds like it would be really pretty too.

Miss Glitter, you’re gorgeous! I don’t think you can go wrong, if it were me, I’d have to consider which position feels like it will stay in place the best…
