Bonjour hive!! Wow! Really? I get to be part of this?! All of this?! I’m truly honored and really excited to join such a super creative and fun group, and to share my experiences, thoughts, and ideas (however good or not so good)! ( I feel like skipping through Paris, eating macaroons, riding an old bike, hanging off a bunch of balloons, all to the sounds of Brigitte Bardot singing “Moi, Je Joue”! La, la, la, la!!!)

I love Weddingbee and have been a reader since I got engaged in May last year (2008)! Never did I think I would/could be a contributor! And here I am… writing an intro hello! Surreal!

Why Perfume you ask? It’s subtle, can be different things to different people, at times elegant, at others fanciful. Probably also because it’s classic and recognizable!

A little about the Perfumes: The Mr. and I are art collectors, mainly contemporary paintings and sculpture. We love food (I also have a local food blog) and wine (Mr. P is an avid wine collector), and these avocations rule our lives! We both live and work in Washington DC and enjoy the walkable neighborhoods, the art scene, and the culture. We also adore the country, and take weekend trips to the Homestead frequently (thus our decision for the venue was easy!). The bucolic elegance, fresh air, and serenity appeal to us as well. In planning our wedding, we want to incorporate these two sides of our lives, as well as our great love of food, art, and wine. And we found that designing the wedding around a modern vintage theme melds these elements very, very well. Thank you all for your sweet notes of welcome… I REALLY look forward to sharing and taking part in this community!
