After the obligatory group shots, it was time for the obligatory couple shots. This one is my favorite coz you can’t make out my face:
You see, I HATE having my picture taken. I’d like to say I look awkward in pictures, but that’s probably a lie. I’m pretty sure the awkwardness is around whether I’m in front or behind the camera, and the more I try not to be odd, the more it shows…
I much prefer pics of da hubs by himself or pics of stuff I made, coz I can still claim them as my own. Like ’that’s my hubby’ or ’here’s that bouquet I threw together that morning’:
Not looking at the camera helps, failing updo not so much…
That’s right, just keep looking away…
He: Are we doing this right?
Me: I don’t think so
Me: I hate taking pictures
He: I know, just think about the buffet we’ll have when we’re done

Despite all my shortcomings, this guy still showed up on our wedding day. Ahhh, somehow this magically makes all the pictures okay. Well… that and the boofay.

There is some serious hotness in these photos. And I’d like to think I’d look as hot if someone were to offer me a buffet. My guess is that I’d just drool.
First of all you look gorgeous in the pictures, so you really shouldn’t worry. Second of all, I just love all your comments, they crack me up.

It’s so funny to read your comments and expect some wacky picture…and then scroll down and see that it is a completely gorgeous picture. Then, scroll up and read the comment again to see if it goes with that picture. Sorry to say it, but you are crazy! The pictures are so gorgeous! You looked amazing! We won’t think you’re conceited if you agree! Own up to your beauty!

The camera does steal part of your soul. It’s true. You are right to be scared out if your mind. I saw your soul escaping in that last picture, I swear.
Your pictures look great- and so do you in them! You’ll look back in 10 years and realize how great you really looked.
I’m the same way though- I HATE having my picture taken, so much so that I have maybe 5 picures of me and my son together (and he’s 7 now). There are like a million of him his dad.
Just a word of advice- don’t be like me. I regret the fact that I was so insecure that I have no pictures of me and him when he was a baby- those are times you can’t get back- and of course, you can always hide them for 20 years until you are ready to look at them again.

Your captions always make me laugh. We are so so opposite in our love for photos. I could pose away all day long. And I’m weird in that I love getting the pictures back and looking at them too. Not exactly because I like looking at myself, but because I’m fascinated with how differently I perceive myself from the way it translates on film. Does that make any sense?
