Coconut Recap: We Said I Do!

January 21st, 2009 @ 11:25 am by Mrs. Coconut

I’m going a little out of order here, because we took portraits and group shots before the ceremony, but I really wanted to share this first!

Here’s a shot of the chair signs I made for the immediate family.

Mr. Coconut walked down the aisle first. I really loved the idea of both of our parents walking us down the aisle.

Here’s my gorgeous Maid of Honor, Sister Coconut!

I really loved my mother’s dress; she looked breathtaking in it.

I really love this picture.

We helped create our ceremony, but this part was a surprise. Our officiant, who was growing out his beard to play Santa Claus, told us to turn around and face our guests at the very beginning of the ceremony. It was such an awesome moment, because we really took the moment in. I attempted to make eye contact with almost all of the guests.

We decided to write our own vows. I bought this lobster card from Etsy, channeling the lobster reference in “Friends”.

Mr. Coconut’s vows blew mine out of the water.

Our rabbi made us do that too!! The weird thing was, at first, I felt like I didn’t recognize anyone (even though about 90 of the 150 guests were from my side). I think I was just so overwhelmed or something by all the people smiling back at me!

And you look stunning!!

@Lilhawkeye2: I found that dress on a sale rack in Dillard’s. It was painful to find, but the price was only $60 I think?

You look gorgeous!
I love the ribbons on your BM’s bouquets and that they all wore different color shoes, but the same dress.
The second to last shot of Mr Coconut looking at you in my favorite - you can see how much he adores you :)

Are those J.Crew “Whitney” BM dresses? I think I have the same dress and I was going to ask my BM’s to wear them…but when I put the dress on I had obscene cleavage! (and I’m an A cup bra) how did you deal with the cleavage issue?
