Mr. Sushi, The Shoe Pimp

January 22nd, 2009 @ 4:08 pm by Mrs. Sushi

Mr. Sushi is a shoe fan. A Nike shoe fan. If I’m a shoe whore, then he’s a shoe pimp.

Mr. Sushi can be very picky when it comes to his shoes and clothes, which made picking out an outfit for him to wear on our wedding day very difficult, but in the end you can definitely see his style in his “grooms wear”. I suggested that he rock some nice loafers like Mr. Sea Breeze, but he wasn’t having it (I tried). Nope, he went the Nike sneaks route, and who am I to tell him what to wear? It’s not like he had the option of picking out my shoes. So, we went the custom route and he “designed” his own wedding shoes.

The whole process is actually pretty easy. You just pick the shoe style you want, then you can click on certain parts of the shoe and change the color. You can even personalize the shoe with your name or slogan, if you like. Orders take up to 4 weeks for delivery; Mr. Sushi got his in 2 weeks! These could also be great gifts for your groomsmen. What guy wouldn’t like a pair of personalized, customized Nike sneakers?!

Instead of having the Nike brand name on the back of the shoes, we could have put any name in its place.

s4

The best part is, I can sooo see him wearing these again and again after wedding day.

s5

How is your fiance reflecting his own personality and style on your wedding day?

Love it!

A while back we decided we are going to give this to all of our groomsmen. It’s a hefty price to pay, but for sure they will love it.

We have our date printed on the bill of each shoe, and their names on the back! :)

I got my fiance Nike Free IDs for his last birthday! He loves them and always gets compliments on them, he even wore them in our engagement pictures, making really cool shots.

I love this idea, though we are also leaning towards chucks, what are your groomsmen wearing on the day? We can’t afford to buy them all shoes, but I’m unsure if it will look weird if the groomsmen are wearing normal black shoes and just the groom is rockin out.

my fiance is a Nike Air force Ones fanatic and actualy proposed to me with a pair!!! All of the guys are wearing Air Force Ones with their suit, we just haven’t found the right ones yet. I love that someone else is doing something similar.

That is so awesome! I am going there now to see about getting Mr FF some! He wanted a custom vest for his tuxedo made out of skull material ( not the cheesy kind with roses or anything like that) but black with black flames really cool and different! So I was more then happy to let him be him. It is what makes it OUR day!

I had no clue you could custom design your own pair of Nikes. Very cool idea for Mr. Sushi!

I love Nike iD, what a great idea to use it to personalize Mr. Sushi’s attire! :)
