Hot Chocolate and Marshmallow Favors

January 23rd, 2009 @ 1:54 pm by Mrs. Bee

I love Fred Flare’s fun kitschy products, and this You Warm My Heart Cocoa Mix is no exception.  It’s a heart-themed day today! :)

Martha Stewart Livings featured something similar in an old issue (diy of course), but the way this is packaged immediately made me think that it’d make an easy, inexpensive, diy favor. :)

Are you giving edible favors?

Those are adorable! But the price…ouch!

We gave away Cus chocolate bars (my Hubby is a huge Cubs fan) and Garrett popcorn so all of our guests who have a taste of where we live.

Cute! I’m thinking of making cookies to give away or at least have them as a cookie/ candy bar.

I love edible favors! We’re (most likely) making chocolate turtles, and giving money to the Wetlands Institute.

The MR and I are considering doing DIY teabags similar to what we saw on StyleMePretty once. They’re super cute!

As a true Southern bride, I’m offering my guests food for favors! I’m doing a cookie bar with my favorite cookies from my mom, grandmother, and FMIL.

This is adorable. Perfect for my FSIL’s wedding! She is doing coffee favors for adults and didn’t know what to do for the kids! Kinda a steep price tag though. I think I’ll go the DIY route for this one.

Mmmm I want hot chocolate now :) FH and I have toyed with the idea of making our own BBQ sauce, but a friend of ours made Jam as her favorite and advised against making our own BBQ sauce. So who know what well end up with.

One of my favorite little shops….just ordered valentine gifts from fred flare today. I loved the new hello kitty “talk nerdy to me shirt!!” I attempted to make the MS snowflake marshmallows… yeah, they looked nothing like hers!

Living in Germany, and getting married in the USA, we are going to have — what else? German chocolate for favors. They will be and assortment of mini chocolate bars that contain varying percentages of cocoa, making them range from very creamy milk chocolate to the darkest of dark chocolate.

Very cute idea! We were planning on giving our guests Tea and Coffee… But the marshmellow with the hearts just adds a little love!

Yes! Since our theme is “better together” (our song, by Jack Johnson), we thought of things that go, well, better together for our favors. Peanut butter and jelly, orange juice and champagne… wait! I’ve got it… peanut butter and chocolate. So we’re making my step-mother’s homemade peanut butter cups (delish!) in brown boxes and DIYing pretty tags with our theme.
