Hey you! I see you over there, hoarding all that Polaroid film! Well, breathe a sigh of relief… your Polaroid cameras won’t remain empty for long!
I got an email in my inbox this morning from the maker of our Polaroid guestbook, Adesso Albums. Apparently, a Dutch company has picked up production of Polaroid film!
ENSCHEDE, Netherlands—A new company based in the Netherlands called Impossible b.v. has been founded with the goal to re-invent and re-start production of analog instant Integral film for vintage Polaroid cameras by 2010. Impossible b.v. has purchased the complete film production equipment from Polaroid, signed a 10-year lease agreement on the factory building, and assembled a team of experienced Integral Film experts from around the world.

The company expects to improve on the current Polaroid film technology and are slated to roll out their product in 2010. Until then, the Polaroid film we all know and love is still available through many online retailers. A quick Amazon.com search will always yield plenty of options if you plan on making an instant guestbook full of Polaroids!
I love our Polaroid guestbook. We actually do pull it out and look at it quite frequently and read all the great captions. My favorite part about the book was that there was no assembly required, as guests slipped their own pictures into the pages, so it was delivered to our send off brunch all finished. No muss, no fuss!
