A Sweet Send-Off

January 30th, 2009 @ 1:00 pm by Mrs. Peep Toe

A good friend of mine is off to Hawaii on Monday for her wedding in Maui, at the Four Seasons, no less! In order to send her off in style, a friend organized an afternoon tea for the three of us at Lovejoy’s Tea Room.

I am not much of a girly girl, but this was the perfect place for us to catch up and talk about all things wedding.

You walk in and your table is reserved just for you:

We ended up ordering High Tea for three, which included little sandwiches, delicious scones, cookies, and some wild greens. How come sandwiches taste so much better when they are little and the crusts are cut off?

Here’s the three of us after we finished our meal, bellies full with delicious goodness:

We finished the meal with the cutest little petit fours. Really, what is there not to love about these?

This would be a perfect place to have a bridal shower or a similar gathering. There were tons of groups there, and even a birthday party for a sweet little girl.

Also, Kerri - Here’s to you and your big day! I can only imagine how beautiful your day will be! Have an amazing time and don’t forget to soak up all the love! I can’t wait to see pictures!

OXOXO, Peeps

What ultra-girly things have you done in honor of a friend’s or your wedding?

I attended a Four Seasons High Tea for a baby shower once - it was AWESOME. I second your recommendation - it was so fun and yum and classic.

I had a birthday party at a little less fancy version of this when I was 5 and my mom and I have been going for every birthday since. We have been to every tea place in the area. As soon as I’m a bridesmaid I am definitely suggesting it as a shower idea.

My sister used to take my mom their for mother’s day. They both loved it. Though I never made it up there for their teas my sister has great memories of going their with my mom. Glad you got to have a nice time with your girls

I love high tea! I’ve been to a couple of “tea” showers and will never get sick of them.

Back when I was a new bee (I think the newest bee at the time!) the SF bees got together at Lovejoys!

We all have to get together again very soon! There are so many of us now!
