DIYers, Hold ‘Em Scissors!

January 31st, 2009 @ 12:20 pm by Mrs. Green Tea

If you’re not too picky (do read the mixed reviews), this may save you some dough, time, and sanity.

Tip: Steam your veil, it makes a big difference

I bought three of these (one or two for practice) last week. They came in the mail yesterday!. Its actually a pretty nice veil. Not fancy, not the nicest netting ever, but long and elegant. I found that the part that is meant to go over the face (I assume) is a little short. It looks like the comb is just held on with string though and should be easy enough to move if you need to. Also, the tag is located on this part, right where your nose is…strange placement.

Also, the color is NOT champagne, it’s white or a little off white. I’m not picky about the color, but for those who are, keep it in mind.

There is a very thin edging on the veil, just enough not to make the edge raw. If anyone wants to know anything else, let me know!

What a steal! I have my veil, but maybe I should grab some of these for future bachelorette parties since I’m in that phase where everyone around me is getting hitched!

I bought this veil last week! Its super simple but super long, the perfect complement to an elaborate dress!

whoa, thanks! you’re a lifesaver! i’m hoping for something with a bit more embellishment, but i’ll be getting this as “back-up” in case i can’t find something i love for a reasonable price. (seriously, the price of veils astounds me. how can a piece of tulle cost $150???)

I bought this veil a while ago in the white. I think it is great for the price. I’ll only be wearing it during the ceremony. I like that it quite sheer and therefore easy to see the detail on the back of my dress.

oh man i just bought a ton of stuff off of target because i saw this post. not only did i buy the veil but I bought 5 ivory dresses (for potential rehearsal dinner dresses) and an ivory sash (which I’m sure I’ll use for something).

So thanks for posting the deal, I hope that my purchases turn out well for me!

I wore a Target veil, which I paid retail for I might add, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

And then, when we went mini-golfing in our wedding attire the next day and it blew off into a water hazard, I didn’t mind.
