If I could afford it, I would sooooo rock this:

Or maybe this:

These are more within my price range:

To Keep Me Cozy and Warm : wedding oahu Maryand02

Etsy seller: maryandangelika

To Keep Me Cozy and Warm : wedding oahu Maryand03

Etsy seller: maryandangelika

Looking for something with more funk?!

To Keep Me Cozy and Warm : wedding oahu French01

Etsy seller: frenchsugarvintage

I wish I could knit!

But after seeing Mrs. Shortcake’s and Miss Glitter’s posts about cardigans, I think I might follow suit and rock a cardigan to keep me cozy and warm in the evening.

Now, the hunt for a cardigan begins…

Do you plan on wearing a wrap or cardigan on your wedding day?  Where have you seen great cardigans?

I tracked down a bolero that matches the lace on the hem of my dress. The store I bought my dress from didn’t carry it, but another bridal store did. I’m super excited about the bolero because it totally changes the look of the dress. It’s like 2 dresses for the price of 1.5! :)

I am getting married in may outdoors and I want to sport on of these so bad! I am thinking it might be cool enough to do it because it is the first weekend in may! BTW thanks for the links I love the Polka Dot one!

I’ve been mulling this over for a while, but I’m not sure if I’m actually going to do it. Those boleros are gorgeous!

I’m wearing a yellow J.Crew cardigan with my dress when it gets chilly at the reception. You can see it on my poorly updated blog. :) I LOVE my cardigan. I actually bought it before I bought my dress. I had it with me trying dresses on and it was once I added it to my dress that I was completely sold on it. LOVE it.

I love Bonzie’s work! These are gorgeous. I am wanting possibly something like this if it is windy at night..outdoor wedding and skinny strapped or strapless dress.

The pale, powder blue dress and cardigan rocks!!! Beautiful traditional look!

My dress comes with a lace bolero (long-sleeved), but it just didn’t go well with the whole look of the wedding. We’re doing a military wedding, but with upscale beach details because I’m from Guam. I’ve had my seamstress cut the sleeves to elbow length, which will bring the formality down a notch without going too informal, but I can also considered a luxurious, dark blue shrug, as I’ll be wearing a dark blue satin sash as well.

Of course, a luxurious, dark blue shrug is one of the hardest things to find on the Internet.. haha! During my search, though, I cam across many of the items you’ve featured… they are all so beautiful!

I agree with everyone though: J. Crew has the best cardigans (for a price), but don’t forget about Old Navy or Gap. Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft always feature nice fabrics, but are on the more expensive side. I did a search on shopstyle.com, because it scours the net for me and I can view cardigans by color… hardly any dark blue shrugs.. lol!

And if you haven’t heard of shopstyle.com, check out their neat features, like saving looks and inspiration boards.

I get to see how my new short-sleeved bolero looks - fitting this Friday… woohoo! Then I’ll decide on whether or not to continue the search for my non-existent dark blue shrug.

Yes, but I’m lucky - I’m a knitter. I’m considering a little lace shrug ala this photo I found –> http://www.flickr.com/photos/kellyrelish/3001437406/ or something like this pattern http://knitty.com/ISSUEspring05/PATTido.html

In a light mint green, to match the sash on my dress. Lovely!

The polka dot one is so cute. I would wear that after the wedding.

I love the 4th one down and the red one. So glam. I’m doing a faux fur wrap to keep warm, (well, it’s really mostly for pictures).

Dear lord that first one is chic! I originally wanted something very bridal looking, but ended up buying a sparkly light green shrug on ebay for about $10. You can see it in this photo: http://flickr.com/photos/44501474@N00/2649336287/in/set-72157604249485938/

It came in really handy, as it was chilly in the redwood grove where we had our ceremony.

I ordered a bolero from Rohm, love it!

Also, I’ve seen some super cute (and decent priced) boleros and cardis at Anthropologie and J.Crew. Also, F21 sometimes has them too!

knitting’s easy and fun!
You could easily make that knit bolero in a week (from knowing nothing).

Just make sure to get really delicious yarn.

I love ruffles and love the first option… Now, I have to find a way and find an excuse to wear one!

OMG! I so want! I’m getting married outdoors in Colorado so it is very likely that it will be freezing at night!
