Our dear friends P & T threw us an unbelievable engagement party. We had the party quite a few months after we were engaged, but who’s counting? 
What matters is that we were surrounded by friends, family and love (and great food!). T is a chef extraordinaire and this night was no exception. She was flawless with her presentation and hostessing. If only I could be that calm and collected with all of those people in my house…
Exquisite food was enjoyed by all (T even made Mac-n-Cheese bites for me):

Mr. Quiche put together an iMovie DVD of images from the past 4 1/2 years, as well as pictures of us growing up. It was a popular feature! I loved that we were able to gather everyone together for a fun, relaxed evening. It was the perfect party for us.

My parents threw us an engagement party a few weeks after we were engaged, there were SO many ppl in our house it was a little nerve wracking, but it gave us a preview of the wedding

We invited friends over but didn’t tell them it was an engagement party until they got there. It was pretty fun to surprise everyone all at once!

My FI proposed when we were visiting a friend of mine in Switzerland…so we had a mini celebration with beer and brats next to Lake Luzern. =) A month or so after we got back, his family threw us an engagement party…complete with a cake with our picture on it! A little strange to see ourselves on a cake– but so sweet of them.

I couldn’t even read what you wrote, too consumed with the mouth watering food pictures.
We just met about 10 friends for dinner the night after we got engaged.
As the proposal was a surprise, and fi only makes it out here every 4 months (in an 8 month long engagement), he planned a little get together with our close friends as another surprise in the fantastic engagement weekend.
So no engagement party here, and no remorse. Our wedding day will be the big celebration!

By just looking at your photos, i can say that you absolutely had a wonderful time together with your family and friends. Not to mention those delightful foods you have on your serving table. Many people are wishing for such event before their big day happens.
