YUM! I love white wine. So many of my memories with my fiance are wine-colored, if you know what I mean. I think my favorite was drinking copious amounts of wine prior to meeting his parents for the first time!

that would probably be our dates at the drive in movie theatre. It would get cold sometimes and having somthing yummy to drink while we snuggled up in a blanket and watched the movies was always a great addition. I wish we had a drive in theatre near us now.

My favorite dating memory that definately added a splash of color was our first date. He picked me up and took me ice skating (such a smart idea because you get to talk and have a good excuse to hold hands!) It was so cute and fun despite the fact that when I slipped I not only fell on my bum, but I yank his arm really hard that he just had shoulder surgery on! Opps! Must not have been too bad because since that date we’ve been inseperatable! :)

Hmm…favorite dating memory…we used to go to this park by my house after dinner and we would just sit on the swings and talk or go sit up on the playground structure stuff and look at stars. It was cute. :)

Our 2nd date because we played “tickle monster” and we both knew it was a way to actually touch each other without having the authorities called. LOL!
I was nervous but felt happy butterflies in my tummy - it was great!

Our first date - we closed down a late night coffee house because we didn’t want to stop talking!

Talk about a SPLASH……! On our first date we went for a walk at a lovely state park. We were strolling on a low bridge over a pretty little creek and I was so busy smiling at this amazing man who had asked me out that my foot fell off the edge and I not so gracefully fell into that water below. He was such a gentleman carrying me out of 3 inches of water so I wouldn’t “drown”. We still laugh about that especially when things get stressful! Falling off a bridge can be a good thing when there is someone to pick you up - -a good metaphor for life and marriage!!

My favorite dating memory was definitely when we traveled cross country for my sister’s wedding. Our first flight got delayed, so we missed our connection and got stranded overnight. It was our first travel experience together, and it definitely brought us to a new place in our relationship!

A colorful dating moment, in more ways than one, was the time I demonstrated some techniques to win a hockey fight. That was the night that I discovered, a) my fiance has a low pain threshold, and b) I’m stronger than I realize. Fortunately I didn’t draw blood or even bruise him… he was just a little red-faced for the rest of the night.

On our third date, my fiance took me to see Zoo Lights — a nighttime walk through a zoo lit up for the holidays. It was so cute and creative, and he completely won me over with his adorable imitation of the frolicking penguins! I knew then that he was a keeper.

On one of our early dates, my FH was very nervous, and driving through a neighborhood near his house, he was pointing out anything and everything. When he finally ran out of things that were interesting, he started pointing out port-a-potties in the yards of houses under construction. 6 years later, we still try to be the first one to yell “port-a-potty!” when we see one. :)

Our first date was actually out to happy hour with some friends. In order to get my interest FI asked if I wanted to play golden Tee. Now everytime we go to a bar and they have Golden Tee we have to play because it reminds us of our first day out together.

Going to the dog park for his dog’s first birthday… it was sweet and casual but so meaningful :)

My favorite, is our first date. We spent a lot of time talking and then went to Coldstone and talked for a while longer while eating ice cream. When he dropped me back off at my apartment he asked if I would mind if he kissed me. It was so sweet and innocent.

Introducing him to the arts. I took my now-DH to all sorts of Broadway shows, Lincoln center, dances, restaurants and it really opened his eyes to other things in life.

Because we were in a long distance relationship, planning a movie night where we both rented dvds and watched them together on the phone. Biggest challenge was getting the timing right, especially for the comedies.

Our first date was quite colorful..we had both worn green sweaters and I felt like such a nerd at the restaurant! Although…I’ll never forget it!

One of my favourite memories of us dating is when we went on a missions trip to Mexico together. My husband would serenade us all to sleep every night, but one night I stayed up with him. Once everyone else had fallen asleep, he told me that he loved me!

But for a too “colourful” memory: We were staying at my parent’s cabin during the winter and little did we know that a tap had been leaking, which caused the pipes to the grey water septic field to freeze full of water. Unfortunately, we found this out while I was in the shower and none of the water was going down the drain. Lucky us had to empty the pipes full of icky used shower water and then use a hose and hot water to auger away at the frozen pipe! The funny thing is that we were laughing the whole time at its ridiculousness. But that’s what you call team work!

Since we met at a bowling alley, some of my favorite dates were going back to the same alley and bowling with friends. Most often we would go out for a drink afterwards!
