My Cardigan Search

February 6th, 2009 @ 1:59 pm by Mrs. Sushi

I looked high and low, but I guess I was just being picky. I either didn’t like the style, didn’t like the price, or they didn’t have the colors I wanted. Honestly, I was being cheap. I didn’t want to spend $$ on a cardigan that I might not wear again. And the ones I liked, that I would most likely wear again and again, were well over $60 (thanks J.Crew for the tease!).

While on the cardigan hunt, I came across these cute tops at 579. Don’t they kind of remind you of these? They had them in white, purple and black. The best part was that they were only $15!

If they had other colors, I might have gone this route, but instead, I went the funky cardigan direction.

I scored this red and black polka dotted cardigan for $16.90 from H&M. Almost as good as my $4 earrings. Not too bad, for something only intended to keep me warm later in the night.

And it’s the perfect length. I think anything longer would have made me look like a humpback with the obi sash.

OMG I didn’t know 579 was still around! There certainly isn’t one near me anymore.

I love the cardi you got too, I have so many things from H&M, it’s probably my favorite store.

I love those ones from the 5-7-9, too! I have no idea if there are any in Chicago, but I may just have to check ;)

very cute cardigan.

I first ordered a bolero from Rohm on Etsy, but I changed dresses, so I ordered extra fabric to match my dress and will probably have one made, but I am still on the lookout for one, just in case. Anthropologie has some pretty little babies *all under $100!

I’ve definitely been a wedding saver so far… $20 shoes I found on Amazon. A sample dress at a bridal store that was going out of business. Retooling my mother’s birdcage veil. If I save on attire, I can spend more on decor and champagne!

I am def. on the SAVE end of my wedding attire.
So far:

That cardigan is adorable and just the right length!

I happened to be browsing some cheap clothing websites, and came across this cute white shrug, and for $15.80!
