And by brewing, I mean The Arbor Brewing Company. We have a rehearsal dinner location!
Imagine the brewing company’s historic storefront, minus the snow and cloudy sky. I can’t wait until spring!
Mr. Taffy and I went over to the brewing company with his parents today to have some lunch and meet with the manager to discuss our event. The Arbor Brewing Company has great beer and great atmosphere. The food is also good; they are committed to “ridding their kitchen of processed foods”, and use local organic ingredients. They also have great vegetarian options.
Mr. Taffy was very hungry as I attacked him with my camera. I think he was about to take a bite out of the menu!
We had seen pictures of their private room online, but had never attended an event there. The room was perfect. It was definitely big enough for our bridal party and immediate families, and we will have our own private entrance and bar for the party. We can even bring in our iPod if we like. Mr. Taffy won’t be able to resist that.

Booking the rehearsal dinner (and the shower location, which my mom did last week) is really making me realize how quickly the big day will be here! We have less than four months, and have so many things left to do. I have been very busy this past month planning reception details and promise to start blogging about my projects soon!

Love that you’re doing it at ABC–I know it fairly well, being in the wine and beer business. Anyway, my “moment” (and I’ve still got 6 months) came the other day when I was ordering linens of all things. It made me realize that everyday from now until August 8 will require a wedding task, and not all the fun ones of designing our STDs and dealing with the guest list. Those seemed like childs play compared to figuring out which flatware to rent. Good luck!

Yeah Taffy! I’m in A2 also and though we’re not doing the rehearsal, we’re ordering beer in kegs for the wedding itself. GREAT choice!

I am so happy to see someone else who is having their reception at a brewery! I am def sending your post to my fiance… Our wedding is in September, so we have a while to wait. The reception will be at Hog Haus Brewing Co. The homemade rootbeer and historic building are the primary attractions for us. The beautiful wood in the cozy room are great, too!
Sigh…I miss ABC!
I am really excited for our rehearsal dinner… we’re going to do it at my mom’s house, in her giant back yard. We’ll hopefully have lobsters. Yum.

My OMG moment actually came today, when FI commented that we get married 6 months from tomorrow — holy smokes!!! I’d better get moving.

Right now the event that made me realize how quickly my wedding was coming was ordering my dress and figuring out the BM dresses.

Oh I love ABC, a favorite of mine is their garlic french fries and the shepherd’s pie! Great choice!
I had MY rehearsal dinner at the Arbor Brewing Co. on September 11, 2008. You won’t be sorry! We picked the location because we had our second date there. The private room is perfect; big enough yet intimate, and the private bar rocks. The food was great! I can’t say enough. Please let me know if you have questions about the experience!
