Dress Inspiration: The Grammys

February 9th, 2009 @ 2:46 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

Two dresses caught my eye at the Grammys tonight. I hate to say it, but Miley Cyrus looked amazing and her dress was a dream! Imagine that in white… gorgeous! The dress is by Herve Ledger.

Also, I loved Jennifer Nettles’ dress (of Sugarland). Imagine your bridesmaids in that dress! It’s show stopping, and as my sister and MOH would say, “inappropriate”.

Here is my best effort to turn Miley’s dress white. Please know I am very new to this software! (OBVIOUSLY!)

Which Grammy dress did you like best? Which ones could you picture being great wedding attire?

My favorite was Kate Beckinsale’s dress! It’s really similar looking to the dress I want! I also loved Miley’s dress as well! You did much better than I would’ve making that dress white!

I preferred the one that MIA performed in…why Mimi Maternity doesn’t sell that is beyond me.

I loved Jennifer Nettle’s dress. She is such a doll. I wish I liked country more.

Cracking up about the MIA comment…she looked like such a fool, but she rocked on stage.

Kate Beckinsale’s! And its Reem Acra. Here’s to hoping it comes out in bridal colors!

I loved Taylor Swift’s classy black dress: http://www.fabsugar.com/2789345
She looked gorgeous and the dress is beautiful - might be a bit hard to walk in, but that’s the price you have to pay for looking fabulous ;)

Yeah, I’m sorta anti-Miley, but that is a great dress nonetheless!

I loved these dresses, too! I also liked the little sparkly number that Jennifer Hudson performed in. I’m not sure that it would be wedding appropriate, although perhaps for a swanky loft-type affair. I was a little more lukewarm about the dress she walked the red carpet in, though.

Great post! :)

the white version of miley’s dress reminds me of Vera wang’s Calla Lilly wedding dress. It has a huge flower on one shoulder and it’s stunning.

Kate Beckinsale’s dress is by far the best. It has actually delivered me from the princess ball gown bug i’d been suffering from for years.I have finally found my wedding gown

LOL I hope Mrs. Corn is kidding about M.I.A’s dress! I just couldnt believe that!! I think I would have been wowed by Rihanna’s but she wasn’t there because of someone named Chris Brown!

My dress inspiration didn’t come from last year, but I LOVE Kate Hudson’s Oscar dress from 2003.
