You may remember that I sent “Will You Be My Flower Girl?” cards to my special little ladies, Cousin Kitten and Future Niece Kitten. I was so excited to hear back from the girls and their parents when they received the cards. Future Brother-In-Law Kitten called as soon has he got the package, and gushed about how much his daughter, Future Niece Kitten, loved the card and gifts. But a few weeks passed and I STILL hadn’t heard a response from Cousin Kitten!
Yesterday, I casually asked my dad if he had heard anything. He said something along the lines of “Oh, yeah… you sent her a card? …Right… I heard something about that… they really liked it.”
Liked it? After all my slaving away with the paper and the glue and the stamps and the embossing?!
Liked it?! Honestly, I was a little annoyed. Were all my DIY wedding projects going to go unnoticed and unappreciated? It was a little discouraging. But coincidentally, the very next day I received a card from Cousin Kitten in the mail! I opened it up and this is what I found:

Front of Card

She Accepts!

(Dear Kitten, thank you for wonderful presents. I love the books. I love you and can’t wait to be your flower girl. Love, Cousin Kitten.)
So cute! I guess I shouldn’t be too surprised that I was out-crafted by little Cousin Kitten. I need to step up my game! More DIY projects to come!
Have you ever slaved away at a wedding project, only to be disappointed by the response?
