Lookie lookie at what arrived on our doorstep yesterday….
Our wedding photo proofs from The Wiebners!
They arrived in a pretty little box, complete with our wedding colors. (Alright, so they’re also the Wiebners’ signature colors, but I am going to pretend that they picked this box especially for us!)
Inside: nine — count ’em, NINE — spiral bound books containing all 770 of our beautiful photos.
We have already seen all of these photos via the online proofing site that the Wiebners set up, but it’s so much more exciting to see them live and in person! We also received a DVD with all of the digital images, so you know what that means…. PHOTO RECAPS! No promises about how soon I’ll get these up on the ’bee (I have a feeling it’s going to be a very difficult task to sort through so many gorgeous shots) but I do promise that you’ll finally get a chance to see our complete wedding day from start to finish.
I am so excited to finally have my hands on these… the Wiebners did an absolutely amazing job, and our photos were certainly worth the wait.

Those are gorgeous photos of your photos! When it comes time for photogs, I hope it won’t be terribly long but willing to be patient so they can work their magic!

I can’t wait to see them. It’s so nice these do these for you. Mine just did a little album with about wallet sized images so it’s really hard to see the detail. They also gave us a CD, though thankfully!

Is it normal to receive all of your proofs from your photographer? I’ve heard of some people only getting to see the 200 or so best in edited form, but I love all the raw images, good or bad!
Wow! That’s a lot of photos. I like how they spiral bound them one per page. I’m sure that will make going through them easier! Can’t wait to see more beautiful pictures from your fabulous wedding!

@drifts: My photographers sorted through our photos and trashed more than half of them. After we remembered some photos being taken that weren’t part of what they were showing us we asked for ALL the photos. The grumbled and said the others weren’t looking at, but to us they were. And, they trashed some really great photos, some that were actually better than ones they kept. So, if you can always make sure to tell you photographer you want every single picture, even if it’s just on the CD of images they give you.

@Mrs. Emerald: The books are all comprised of 4×6 prints. It’s really nice that they are spiral bound so they’re not loose!
@Mrs. Avocado: I’ll keep them in a safe place with all of our other wedding mementos
@driftslikesmoke: Some photographers only give you prints of a certain number of your proofs; the Wiebners gave us a print for every image also included on the proofing website. The proofs we received are certainly not all of the photos that they took, but the best that they narrowed things down to. And that’s totally fine by me — I don’t know if I could handle even MORE photos to go through!
