About Mrs. Hot Cocoa

Me Likey the Nike

February 10th, 2009 @ 11:01 am by Mrs. Hot Cocoa

Don’t tell my wedding shoes, but I think I’ve fallen in love with someone — er, something — else:

_576005

Source: Nordstrom

Behold: Cole Haan’s Ceci Air Rose. I lust after those delicate, perfect rosettes. That sexy 4 inch heel. And that cushy, oh so comfy Nike Air sole.

I swore I wouldn’t get white shoes, since it’s hard to wear them again post-wedding. But these make my heart pitter patter.

Anyone else having second thoughts about their wedding accessories?

They are so cute! I vote do what’s going to make you happy and make your heart go pitter-patter on your wedding day! Plus, you could always be a “two-shoe bride” ;)

These are stunning! If only they came in ivory! I already have my wedding shoes, but for some reason I cannot stop looking.

You can totally wear them again! They’d look fab with a sundress, or even with a jeans and a white tank top — sort of the NYC “I just threw on any old thing with my super expensive shoes” couture.

if they are dyeable…dye them to a color u like…perhaps your wedding party color..then you can dye them black to be able to use them again.

They also have the Ceci Rose Air Sandal… a little simpler and a little lower heel. I fell in love with them both last night. I was wondering how long until someone posted a picture of those beauties. Swoon! I’m kind of excited now that I didn’t get shoes yet. These are my new number one (but it changes almost everyday)!

I love Cole Haan…my Fiance got me hooked on them, he loves the Nike Air soles! I actually looked at the plain Ceci peep toes, but I’m not sure I want to dye $300 shoes…

They are lovely but that much? If I went that expensive, I’d do Louboutins with some foot petals!

I really think I’m going to turn out to be a 2-shoe bride. I promised my fiance’ that I would remain short for the wedding (he’s 2 inches taller than I am) so I have some white mary jane flats but I’ve realized lately that I really want pretty shoes with peep toes with maybe a little bit of heel!

So stinking cute! And I saw that they are actually dyeable, so really they are a great option for someone is is really against dyeable shoes. Or they can use them in white for the wedding and dye them a color after to get more use out of them!

I think I’m in love!! I must have these! I am currently wearing some Cole Haan shoes with the Nike Air (they are cute black ballet flats) and they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn!

I just found those this morning! They’re so cute, and I’ve heard that they’re amazingly comfortable!

Now I just have to see if I can find some on sale or at an outlet…

@heather25 and @Hayley and @dcm2429: : Yes, they are dyeable, which makes them that much harder for me to resist them. But. Must. Control. Myself.

@Rinstar: The air sandal is super cute too, but I’m a shortie so I need some serious heels.

@angelastheboss and @bellenga: I know! If only they were $200, I’d get them, but $400+ veers toward Manolo/Choo/Louboutin territory. Too pricey.

@Nicole and @Miss Peep Toe: I have to at least have two pairs, one to go with my white wedding dress and the other to go with my red Chinese dress, so I don’t think I can get a third. But it’s so tempting!

@driftslikesmoke: If you find these at the outlet or on sale, you must PM me right away! ;-)

Ok seriously, were you looking over my shoulder in my apartment this morning? Because I JUST looked at these shoes online a few hours ago. I really don’t want to pay that much for shoes, but all of the raves make them so tempting!!

I almost love the title of this post as much as I love those HOT shoes!! I picked out my wedding shoes about a year ago, and I hate them. Ok, I’m being dramatic - but I have seen so many others that I love, it is tempting me to return them and start all over again. Hmm….

You can definitely rock these babies with jeans and a nice top! I would! So what if they’re white? They definitely don’t look like the typical “wedding shoe”.

I saw these just a couple of days ago as well and fell in love with them. But I really do want a shoe with color, and with that price tag….just can’t justify it. But it’s amazing how close I can get to justifying it… :-D

These are delish, and you can totally use them again. I love the whole “dye them a light color for spring, and then dye them black” idea. Either way, if you guys stay in LA, that’s totally do-able with jeans.

These are my wedding shoes! They go perfectly with my Maggie Sottero Sabelle gown that has the rosettes sewn into the skirt. I am having them colored a fuschia color. So comfortable!

Gorgeous! As soon as I saw the Air Rose Sandal, that was it. Especially b/c of the lower heel and ankle strap. I got them at http://www.theshoemart.com with an internet coupon and free shipping. Takes a little of the sting out of the price. Heh.

Great idea to dye them afterwards…otherwise I might just ebay them depending on how “gently used” they are.
