Since I decided to choose rainbow sherbet colored dresses for my ’maids, I wanted to stick with the same dress style. My favorite style was the twist-tank dress, but Littlest Sister Kitten is a junior bridesmaid and a little too young for that V-neck action! I decided to have two of the bridesmaids wear the “Twist-Front” dress and two wear the “Abigail” dress. The dresses are really similar, with the same fabric and same skirt, just different necklines.

Let’s talk about another one of the virtues of J.Crew bridesmaids dresses—the price!
Because they already have to pay a significant amount to travel to our destination wedding, I wanted to buy the dresses for them. Thanks to their student discount (15%) and end-of-season sales, I scored substantial discounts on the dresses! While I consider some of J.Crew’s dresses to be silly expensive, the twist-tank dresses are $145, a pretty average price for bridesmaids dresses (in my experience), but the two Abigail dresses were $45 apiece! I got them on sale because they were last season’s colors! That makes the four dresses average out to $95 apiece! Not too shabby!I have to say, the customer service at J. Crew, especially for weddings, is awesome. They can help you find sold out items and even gave me a price adjustment when some of the dresses went on sale. And they will send you fabric swatches before you buy anything, too!
I am going to see the bridesmaids this weekend, so I’m bringing the dresses with me. I can’t wait to see them try them on! Stay tuned for pictures!
