The Mini Stilettos Are Done! : wedding cake decor Toppers Toppers

Source: Etsy

It was such a nice surprise this morning to hear from Etsy’s Goose Grease that our cake topper was completed ahead of schedule - yay!! I love having a miniature version of us. What fun! Aren’t we cute?

These will actually be glued to a round wooden stand to go on the cake, but I’ve asked her to send the pieces separately and we’ll just glue them on ourselves. Why, might you ask? Because we’re totally doing a photo shoot with them! They’ll be strategically placed with numbers in the photos, which will then be turned into our table numbers at the reception. I didn’t really feel like it was fair to just plop them onto a cake and be done with it. They must have a little bit of fun beforehand!

So… this means that we can go cake tasting, which I’ve been dying to do for months. Yippee!!

Are you having a custom cake topper made? What does it look like?

What a cute idea! I have friends (recently married!) who have a coconut pig that they put in all their vacation photos! I can’t imagine them going anywhere without Coco Pig! I love your idea with the table numbers!!

I love these! I wish I had found them for my wedding. I search high and low (include Etsy) and couldn’t find anything I liked. So we wound up just having fresh flowers on top of our cake.

Those are great and I can’t wait to see the table numbers.

I cannot wait til we get our custom cake topper!!! Its being made by Nicole W Clark, http://www.nicolewclark.com, also from Etsy and its one of the things I’m most excited about for our whole wedding!! Sucks we won’t be able to see it til the day of the wedding, but my BFF will make sure it looks perfect for us and will keep it safely guarded til the big day!
