The title tells no lie; I am in fact, a veil cheater. It started off innocent, looking at pictures of other veils. I couldn’t help myself; the beautiful lace, the length, the fullness.
While I loved the veil that sister Spring Roll and I made, I couldn’t stop thinking about how I wished it were longer. Ultimately, I couldn’t resist merely looking at other veils, and ended up getting the veil of my dreams: a long, ivory, beaded mantilla.

You are adorable, SR! I too am a veil cheater… I made myself a birdcage veil, but I find myself being a peeping tom at the bigger more dramatic bc veils.

I love the new veil. The lace peeking out the bottom of your dress (at least with a colored-carpet background) echoes the lines of the mantilla veil! The effect is beautiful! Great choice.
My dream veil is antique lace all over, like a table cloth but not so thick or busy. I saw one once and I about died!

Gahhhh! I wish I would have known that’s what you wanted! I have the same *exact* veil (even in ivory!) never worn from David’s Bridal. I couldn’t return it and wasn’t able to wear it — it poured buckets and so my hair had to be worn up.

You look stunning, and look at that smile on your face, you’re SO happy to have that veil on. Mantilla veils have to be my favorite too, but I opted for a simple veil with a satin ribbon trim. I thought it looked better with my dress.

I borrowed a mantilla veil from my good friend, and I LOVE it! However, it will not lie flat on my head - any ideas?
@LatteLove: I got it from David’s Bridal.
@olelucky: My veil was not staying flat on the left side, so the alteration’s consultant steamed it, and now it sits perfect. Perhaps you could have the veil steamed?
