Swooning Over Oscar Dresses…

February 23rd, 2009 @ 11:24 am by Mrs. Quiche

Talk about bridal inspiration last night! White and ivory ruled the red carpet as Hollywood’s leading ladies stole the show with their gowns.

In my opinion, Taraji Henson was the best dressed of the night, hands down.

The ever-flawless Anne Hathaway

And another flowy creation that I could just eat with a spoon.

Which was your favorite gown of the night?

I absolutely LOVED Marisa Tomei’s dress…my mom is making my dress and I called her to tell her how much I loved it and that we should use it as inspiration :)

I was amazed at the bridal look of many of the gowns too! My favorites were Taraji and Penelope, least favorite was Jessica Biel.

Love Anne Hathaway’s look! Sleek, but soft, classic skin and wine-stained lips!

The white gowns are so cheery, and like a breath of fresh air — perfect for anyone who wants to relax and feel a little less stressed out during these crazy times! :-)

Loved Anne Hathaway’s and Natalie Portman - I hate pink but fell in love with her dress. And I’m trying to find a photo of the back of her hair to bring to my hair trial.

Taraji looked sooo freaking amazing!! The dress I’m considering is somewhat similar (kinda sorta, lol) so I made sure to ask FI if he liked her dress. Luckily, he said yes!! She was my fave of the night. And I loved that she wore her hair down and so simple!

these dresses are such eye candy! i know what I’ll be doing to start off my day ;) By the way, Marisa Tomei’s dress is by Versace! So pretty! I thought SJPs dress was so very SATC. I kinda like it!

I thought Taraji P. Henson was AMAZING in her gown. If I could have THAT for my wedding gown, I might just do it.

Close runners up were Penelope Cruz’s gorgeous vintage number and Marisa Tomei’s gorgeous, structural gown.

Taraji Henson was the BEST by far. While I didn’t hate anything, jessica beil didn’t really do it for me. It seemed kinda blah on her, and she just looked uncomfortable. But taraji was stunning!

I loved Penelope’s dress- I’m such a sucker for floofy vintage! I did also love the first dress. And Rachel Evan Wood’s hollywood glamour is hot!

Taraji and Pelelope were both breathtaking in totally different ways. I was a little disappointed by SJP this time and even my fiance, who has a serious crush on Jessica Biel, thought her dress looked dumpy and said ’she forgot to brush her hair.’
