Vendor Review: Commerce Flowers

February 25th, 2009 @ 6:34 pm by Mrs. Jasmine

I will never forget the first time I received flowers (sorry Mr. J, but they were not from you). It was a lush bouquet of peach roses lightly tinged with pink. Even after they wilted, I picked off all the petals and kept them in a jar (hmm, maybe this story is more about the boy who gave them to me and less about the flowers themselves). Anyway, flowers have always been meaningful to me and I knew they would play a special role in our wedding. It was a challenge, however, finding a floral designer who shared our vision and worked within our budget.

We were so lucky to have Eddie of Commerce Flowers. Our online research returned glowing reviews of Commerce and the proposal they provided was well within our budget. The best part, however, was working with Eddie. He went above and beyond to make me and Mr. J happy– I truly felt as though he cared about our wedding. Even with the vague and constantly shifting guidelines I gave him, he produced magic on our wedding day.

My wedding bouquet: pure white peonies tied in thick white satin. I’m so glad I went with an all white bouquet. It didn’t compete with the rest of the florals or the colors in my lengha. The soft peonies just shone all on their own.

Our garlands: white carnations with red roses. These were a last minute request and I thought they were so beautiful!

Our canopy and aisle: Eddie constructed the canopy himself and lined the aisle with fuchsia and burgundy petals. The centerpieces were used to line the aisle (a great trick– no one realized they were used again for the reception and we saved so much money on ceremony flowers). When I walked down the aisle, it my first time seeing the ceremony decor come together. I was completely and utterly blown away.

The centerpieces and our sweetheart table: I loved the flowers on the sweetheart table so much! If I could have, I would have taken them home with me.

I really value great customer service and attention to detail. Commerce Flowers had those qualities in spades. To this day, I look at photos of our flowers and feel so blissfully happy at how everything turned out. You can’t really ask for much more than that. :)

Great to hear from you again!

My bouquet will be white as well, and I’ve been kinda “meh” about it, but seeing your pictures helped me get a bit more excited about emphasizing my bridal status through my flowers!

Wow, your flowers came out beautifully! Two of my friends used commerce flowers for their weddings and of all the weddings I’ve been to, their flowers stand out the most in my memory. I’m deciding between commerce and one other, but your post is making me lean towards commerce!

I love your peony bouquet! I wish I could have peonies, but I’m getting married in Texas in September, so no chance.
