The Perfect Clutch

February 26th, 2009 @ 10:27 am by Mrs. Apple Cider

I love clutches. I obsess over them. Much like Miss Stiletto, who found a great wedding clutch on Etsy, I have been looking at clutches both for myself and for my bridesmaids.

The bridesmaid splurge: if I could afford it, I would buy each of my bridesmaids one of these clutches from the Etsy shop of Red Ruby Rose. They are $75 each and are amazing.

A less expensive version can be found at the Etsy Shop of La Vita Lola. They are $55 and absolutely gorgeous, especially the bird one! It goes with the “love birds” theme.

I want to carry a clutch on the wedding day but I am not sure I actually will. If I could pick a clutch, I would choose one of these!

(LaVita Lola - $58)

(LaVita Lola - $65 - I love the feather flower!)

I love the white clutches, but how about a POP of color? Check out these gorgeous clutches that I would love to carry on my big day.

(Emma Gordon - London - $62)

(Emma Gordon - London - $62)

I am going to find clutches that I love for my bridesmaids for under $25 each. That is my goal for the next few months… along with my millions of other goals!

Will you be carrying a unique purse or clutch on your wedding day? Where did you find it?

Ooh I love the Lavita Lola with the feather flowre, so sassy!

I wanted to do clutches for my b’maids as well, but couldn’t find them in budget. So I’m making a simple envelope clutch for each of them out of damask fabric. Such a fun project! And I finally have one done that actually passes for a clutch :) To be posted…at some point…when Mr. S takes pictures for me!

I splurged and bought myself an Emma Gordon clutch for my wedding day! I got one in navy with a navy flower. It is really well made and I highly recommend her to anyone!

I’m searching for unique vintage clutches at thrift stores for me and my bridesmaids. Each girl will hopefully have one that fits her style and personality!

I saw an amazing clutch at a mall here in Bogota but it was pastel and I was hoping for a bright pop of color with a jewel tone. I’m still looking!!

I purchased Emma Gordon’s Clutch’s for my Bridesmaids and got the Navy with the Lime rose. She gave me an unbelievble price break on 6 pieces. Maybe you could ask for it. I think it ended up being $39 per clutch.

I love Red Ruby Rose as well but the price was a little out of the budget. I knew I wanted something unique and different for my bridesmaids and I was lucky to stumble across cheaptherapy on etsy (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5835196). I ordered her swallow bag and she was able to customize it for me. She also has awesome prices and designs. I can not wait till it comes.

I just posted a pic of the ones for my bridesmaids (also from an Etsy shop): http://tinyurl.com/b5dtld

Love them, and the seller gave a discount b/c I ordered so many, so they were about $28 each with the shipping. Might want to check them out!

I found some DIY clutches last night. I think I might try this route:

Describe the material you want and she’ll suit your needs even if you don’t see it on her etsy page. Buy several and ask for a discount!

I went with the J. Crew gala in ivory. J. Crew clutches sell like hotcakes on ebay, so I figure it’s worth the investment. (My FI also got it for me in black for my b-day to rock @ my bachelorette party in Vegas.)
