As you may recall, I had an okay hair and not-so-great makeup trial over a month ago. No need to fear though, because sister Spring Roll came to my rescue and agreed to do my hair on the big day. This week we finally had the same day off work, and did a trial run.
Initially, I wanted to wear my hair up the entire day; but after getting my new veil, I decided to wear my hair down for the ceremony, then up for the reception.
(Don’t be scared, I don’t have any make-up on, this was not my make-up trial)
In case you forgot, this is what my hair looked like after the stylist’s trial:
And now, after my sister’s trial:
I may be biased, but I love my sister’s styling much better.
For all you curl-wearing bees, can you recommend a strong hold hairspray that leaves curls soft and bouncy?

The two trials are (obvi) slightly different. Your sister’s version is less flowy, and more substantial. They both look good! Also, I agree with Lauren; you look quite pretty without makeup.

I (and most of the other bridesmaids) used Garnier Fructis Style Full Control hair spray at my brother’s wedding. My curls stayed Shirley Temple - esque (but super cute and swingy) ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. It was amazing. I’ve never hated my parents for not giving me a sister before - but now I’m uber upset that I don’t have one that is as all-knowing and amazing as yours! looks great!

OK — weird comment. I read this post earlier and laid down for a nap. I had a HORRIBLE wedding dream where I was at your wedding, responsible for doing your hair. But it was too slick and I was so upset that I couldn’t get it to stay up.
LOL. I think I might need to step away from Google Reader for a bit.

@reddragon: My sister used a curling iron and curled my hair section by section (spraying each section with hairspray before curling); she then gathered my hair into a ponytail, and pinned up the curls using bobby pins
Your hair looks beautiful!! I think your sister’s trial looks better– it looks fuller and more put together/sleek. The flower is sooo pretty!!
You should try Bumble and Bumble…both the pink and blue bottle work great!
on multiple occasions, professionals i’ve engaged swear by L’Oreal’s Elnett hair spray. I works fab and i don’t feel like i’m wearing a ‘hair helmet’. BUT - i’m not sure if it’s sold in the US.

Sorry, no advice on the hairspray because I suck at doing hair, but your sister did a great job! And I so wish I could look as great as you without makeup!

Oh your sister is the clear winner- it looks beautiful! Frederick Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray is awesome- it has a majority of great reviews on Sephora.com, and I know at their stores they sell it in a travel size so you could give a shot for not too much! =)
