Found my way to the east coast, and Mr. Champagne kept me here so we're planning a wedding from afar in my hometown Vail, Colorado. I'm secretly obsessed with reality TV, Wii games where I can shoot a gun, country music, and Caesar: Dog Whisperer. I also spend time pretending to golf, backseat driving, having one way conversations with our MinPin Maxwell, loving champagne, and wedding perfecting… I mean, planning. I use way too many repeated symbols and letters when I write, and I'll love Mr. Champagne endlessly…
So for those of you who don’t know, Mrs. Tiramisu and I are buds. We were friends during her planning process, and she’s to blame for my Weddingbee addiction. She even attended my bachelorette party which I never blogged about, because, well… I had too much champagne.

Once we got engaged, I insisted that we create an image to go with our theme. I wanted to make something that we could use in different places and in different ways. I had a few ideas, but have worked for weeks to perfect it.
Here it is… it’s called “love birds”:
We will likely turn this image into a brown tree to give it more of a fall feel! What do you think? Here are a few other things that I created with the images. Read more…

With all this going on, Mr. Kitten and I decided to have a tropical, "stress-free" destination wedding. Nevertheless, my micromanaging, detail-oriented, perfectionist side has prevailed---I am currently obsessed with every last detail of my "stress-free" destination wedding! But most of all, I'm beyond excited to become Mrs. Kitten on a fabulous Caribbean vacation surrounded by my friends and family!
Overwhelmed? Feeling like you are doing all the wedding-planning work? If you’re anything like me, you feel the need to do every wedding-related task yourself. No, you’re not a masochist, but you just know that only you can do it best (control freak alert!).
Of course, there are grooms out there who are very involved in the wedding planning process. I’ve seen a few DIY projects where the groom made the invitations by hand or did the calligraphy on the envelopes himself! Sadly, Mr. Kitten does not have crafting or calligraphy skills, but that hasn’t stopped me from delegating other time-consuming tasks to him! Read more…

We are a DIY wedding "2fer", as I'm the crafty one and Mr. Ducky is in charge of all of our graphic design and technical aspects. When not wedding planning or reading wedding blogs, I'm attending grad school and rotating between two different jobs to keep things exciting. My favorite things include shoes, Post-Its, Labrador Retrievers, traveling, psychology, delicious food, photography, reading, craft gadgets/supplies, and of course, my wonderful Mr. Ducky!
“WHAT!?! I’m a bee!! Wait, stay calm, you are in public,” were my initial thoughts when I first received my Weddingbee acceptance as I was checking my email at work. Why Miss Duckling? I just thought the little ducky was so adorable from the first time Mrs. Bee debuted the new baby characters. Mr. Ducky even gave me a rubber duck a while ago to put in my bathtub since I use bubble baths to de-stress.
My Weddingbee addiction began the first time I visited the site to check out Mrs. Lemon’s wedding after my cousin’s recommendation. I’ve loved keeping up with all the bees’ planning and becoming a part of the fabulous hive community. I couldn’t be more honored to be the newest bee to the hive and I hope that I can live up to the talents and planning genius of previous bees.
Alright, now for some basic details on us and our wedding…
Mr. Duckling (a.k.a. Mr. Ducky) and I met my freshman year of college, but we didn’t become “us” until 2 years later, after I returned from a year abroad in London. Long story short, we started dating after reconnecting when I got back, and the rest is history. Mr. Ducky and I love to have fun, and in one another have found the person we can truly be ourselves with. He is the most loving and giving person and is a constant source of joy and support in my life. He’s in heaven at Home Depot/Apple Store and I find my bliss in Michaels. We decide many major decisions by best of 3 in Rock, Paper, Scissors. This is how we finally came to an agreement on the day of our first date. He won. Read more…
Mrs. Taffy, Ann ArborAge and Occupation: 28, Color and Materials DesignerFiance's Age and Occupation: 29, Automotive DesignerEngagement Date: May 9, 2008Wedding Date: May 2009Blogging Since: September 14, 2008Venue: University of Michigan UnionAbout Me: I’m a girl who is crazy about Mr. Taffy, sewing, dancing, almost all types of sweets, and our cute pet canaries. I dislike touching fuzzy fabric of any kind, eating somewhat squishy food, and Michigan winters. Mr. Taffy and I are having a blast planning our Ann Arbor wedding, and cannot wait to share our day with friends and family.
Like many couples, Mr. Taffy and I love to text. We still text daily, but we were especially obsessed with sending messages in the beginning of our relationship! Last February, when we had been dating just over a year, my phone was finally filled to the brim with cute, sweet (and sometimes sassy) messages. I decided to make Mr. Taffy a Valentine’s Day text-book (hee!) using the messages as a theme.
I started with these basic items from Jo-Ann’s:
A package of medium and small crafting tags, a spool of black ribbon, a package of small vellum envelopes, and a glue stick. I also found some metal rings to use as a binder.
Then, like a crazy fool, I typed up EVERY message in my phone. That phone held up to 200 messages! I even typed the messages like this: Read more…

Now, I can't stop thinking about them! Planning the wedding has really opened the floodgates to my DIY side. If there's anything I can do to avoid hiring someone else, I will do it! Mr. Coconut is my financial advisor, he tries to keep me budget-conscious! We've tried to make wedding planning a team effort!
Here are some pictures from our first dance as a married couple. It took us a while to find our song, but eventually we found the perfect song for us: ABBA’s “Take a Chance on Me”. It was wonderfully upbeat and it made all of our guests laugh, so it was our perfect song.
We took two dance lessons, which were totally fun. If you can talk your fiance into doing it, I promise you won’t regret it. I only wish I could have practiced in my dress. These smiley pictures are totally lying to you guys, because I was so nervous.
Mr. Coconut was awesome and didn’t step on my dress once! Read more…

Mr. Sushi and I are both haolepinos (half Filipino, half Caucasian) and hope to be able to somehow incorporate our cultures at our destination wedding in Hawaii. All while planning from the sweetest place in earth, Hershey!
Two weeks ago I had my first (and only) dress fitting. Sillyinphilly had recommended me to her seamstress in Lititz, and seriously girls, this woman is a godsend (and only gets work by word of mouth)! I literally was in and out of her hair in 15 minutes. The zipper on my dress kept sticking, to the point where I could not get out of my dress. Not at all. Karen, the seamstress, literally had to cut me out of my dress.
Unfortunately I don’t have any before photos of me and my dress. Imagine this model is me.
Mrs. Perfume, DCAge and Occupation: 36, Consultant (and Part-Time Professor)Fiance's Age and Occupation: 41, ConsultantEngagement Date: May 13, 2008Wedding Date: May, 2009Venue: The Homestead, Hot Springs, VirginiaAbout Me: I'd like to think that I'm a modern day Little Edie Beale. Only not as..."talented". More realistically, I'm a foodie who can't bake; a dancer and dilettente; an art collector with a penchant for the whimsical and subversive. I live in the city and adore the country, but not much in between. I like smart design, great craftmanship and good value. Most of all, I love the new vintage aesthetic: classic, sweet, delicate, bespoke. If I had to do it all over again, I'd go for a culinary arts degree rather than a PhD; but wouldn't trade Mr. P for the world.
Mr. P and I are a little older and “established” (read: old). So we have plenty of dishes, towels, cookware, and furniture between the two of us. In fact, when I moved in with Mr. P this past summer, I left all my furniture and most of my household items, save a few key AllClad pieces, in my loft (which I rent out furnished).
Anyhoo, instead of gifting us “things” we’ve referred our guests (on our wedding website) to Honeyfund.com, where we “registered” by adding activities from our honeymoon. As I’ve mentioned before, we’re heading to Italy, so we registered dinners, hotels, ferry and gondola rides, train tickets etc. It was quite fun registering, and it actually forced us plan out our trip sooner than we otherwise would.

In the past year I've lived in Baltimore, MD, Tucson, AZ, Miami, FL and Lancaster, England. In my not so spare time I enjoy planning trips with Mr. D' Orsay, visiting friends and family and crafting like a mo-fo. I also enjoy modern dance classes, rugby and soccer but have been banned by my mother, MOHs, and Mr. D' Orsay from playing till after the wedding. I have an unnatural addiction to cheese and shoes, but love Mr. D' Orsay more than either and can't wait to become Mrs. D' Orsay!
… when I A) am not sure myself anymore and, B) am 7,000 miles away from her? I scour the internet looking for purple bouquets. By scour I mean that I went through 5019 multi-coloured “purple” images on Project Wedding and a paltry 217 on The Knot. Where is the love for purple flowers people?
Like Miss Perfume, I’ve gone in circles over what bouquets I like (we even have one of the same pics!). I began with wanting more structure, but for the bouquets to still be round-esque. Read more…

I'm from Chicago, he's from NYC, and we both miss public transit and great pizza. We have an adorable muppet dog called Paco. I'm part hippie with a healthy dash of hip hop superstar, have excessive empathy for animals, and have not one, but two bionic eyes (long story). We're broke and it ain't no joke. It can't stop us from planning the bold and whimsical wedding of our dreams, but we've had to get pretty creative to make it work, yo!
What’s up with you? How is it possible that with such a gorgeous, playful, and rich color line of bridesmaid’s dresses, you don’t offer ties to match for the groomsmen? Srsly. How hard could it be… just take a bit of that leftover girly fabric, fold it over and sew it… right? With such a beautifully unique line of bridal options, can we just get practical for a minute and say, WTF?
I mean, I love love love our bridesmaids dresses. But now I’m stuck trying to find ties to match. And since I don’t own any of the dresses, and my bridesmaids all live in other states, I have nothing to carry around as a color swatch to compare against.
Let’s get with the program J.Crew. You’re thisclose to being full-service wedding clothiers. Help a sister out. Let’s take the last step together and put my tie dilemma to bed for good.
Wistfully,
Miss Meatball
Where did you look to find ties to match your bridesmaids’ dresses?

We can’t wait to be married, and are learning how fun getting married can be.
It’s time, dear friends, to talk about the biggest elephant in the room, the one we don’t talk about because, HELLO, it’s the internet and who’s nutty enough to be that honest? That would be me. What can I say? I’m a sucker for talking about the things nobody talks about, and it was pointed out recently that this is the biggest one of those.

I am excited to share the details with you of how the ring came to be!!
Mr. Apple Cider and I looked at quite a few designs to come up with something unique but classic. I found a ring at James Allen that I really liked, and decided to somewhat copy the design.
I was very lucky to be introduced to a great jeweler in Texas. Her name is Francie Runmark and she has the ability to not only find great deals for diamonds, but also find you the perfect ring. Read more…

Yes, That’s my dad, clipboard in hand, surveying his kingdom (otherwise know as our wedding venue).
I just got off the phone with my dad. He just added another person to our guest list, our intimate seaside wedding. It was another one of his golfing buddies that I have never met. This was after I told him over Christmas, “the invitations are ordered, the guest list is closed.”
