Oh Happy Day - Wedding Decals?!

March 2nd, 2009 @ 12:35 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

Now, this is an amazing concept. Check out some of these amazing, customizable decals.

I am not exactly sure who would let you put these on your reception/ceremony walls but if you have an opportunity, you should! Imagine entering the church and seeing your names on the door.

I think these are so sweet. I am loving the “oh happy day” decal and wish it could be in the room when I am getting dressed for the wedding!

Check out the wedding graffiti website here: www.wonderfulgraffitiwedding.com. There are other great ideas on the website too!

I love theses.. I put one on our bedroom wall and it can be removed very easily.. So maybe if they knew it couldn’t cause damage and removable. There you go!

It really does add an extra special detail to the pictures. It could be hard to convince your venue to do that though…

Oh, I love them. And hello, we own our venue! We can “unveil” our new monogram by putting it over the fireplace, on the front window… neat! I like the idea of having our vows displayed somewhere public during our wedding, and then moving them into our bedroom after, though I don’t think that these are reusable. Still…. hmmm, I wonder if I could paint and frame the words instead….

That’s a great idea! I just requested a few color samples to see how they might look on the wall.

why pay so much?
seems like you could get a high-quality poster made and framed a lot more cheaply. or just photoshop the words in afterwards….. I feel like this is one of those ideas that seems super cool before the wedding, then afterward you realize it was a huge waste of time + energy….

I love the idea and I had bought one from LNT before they went out of business that said “All because two people fell in love…”, BUT I cannot use in in the Reception. I cannot put anything on the walls because it has wallpaper that would be ruined by it. :(

Oh I LOVE this idea!!! I wish we had a big blank wall at our venue for something like this. It’s the new version of the spotlight!

I really wanted to do something like this but we are unable to attach anything to the walls of my church and hotel. I plan on getting one to go in our house.

I love this idea! How do they affix to the walls? Will they peel paint?

So darn cute… but seriously every venue seems to have the “affix nothing to the walls or ceiling rule” (AKA Firemarshall rule)

I love this company. You can ask them send you samples also to see their color choices. I’m ordering monogram decals from them and I can’t wait to see them when they get here!

I’m loving the “Oh Happy Day”. If they peel off as easily as everyone says, I would love to put it up in our new apartment. Do they retain sticky-ness? It would be a nice reminder of that day and how every day should be as happy! :)

I love these! I wish my venue allowed stuff on the walls, because I fell in love with that first picture early on in my planning process. I’m looking forward to doing something similar when Mr. DE & I have our own home.

We put our new monogram on the glass doors leading into our reception and they looked great!

I love the dance floor options, but can’t justify spending the money, since I’d never use them again, but I think they are great!

My sister did this at her wedding, above the cake table. Their wedding song was Better Together (like 1/2 the world) so it said “It’s always better when we’re together.” They chose the song b/c my BIL is a huge Jack Johnson fan and their relationship was long-distance for a long time. It was really pretty. The pics of the cake are her fav b/c of it.

I told her to put the words on something nice and frame it, so she could have it after the wedding. But this was easier.

These are super cute and I loved them! Loved them so much in fact that I ordered them and used them…and they damaged my wall when I took them down. I promise I followed all the directions and everything! Wonderful Wedding Graffiti did pay for the damage but only after months of working with them.
I am sure other people had better experiences so you may still want to try them but please do a test run in a small, unnoticeable area. And be careful about using these at a venue. Not to be a downer, that was just my experience. Still try them out…just be careful.

I absolutely love those! My fiance and I are having a traditional catholic ceremony, so we might have a more personal quote that can’t be used in the ceremony on the wall at the reception!

i say etsy too. several hundred dollars for the decals on the site, however pretty, is too much for me to stomach!

These are so Cute! I have only seen the decals on the windows. These are so much better. May be we could use it on a board because I don’t think my reception space will let me put it on the wall..

They sell similar ones at A.C Moore. No joke. I love the idea!
