About Mrs. Lemonade

Oh my! Lookie here… what’s this?

For me?! Yay!!

Recently, my wonderful mother and little sister/MOH threw me an absolutely lovely bridal shower/afternoon tea. Everything was pink and green, super lady-like and oh-so-preppy (they even used Lilly wrapping paper!!). Unforch we didn’t take a ton of shots of the food and decor as we were running around up until the last minute making sure everything was in place. Here’s the few I did remember to capture mid -setup:

The pom-poms assembled and ready to be placed around the house. They were WAY bigger than we thought they would be but also ended up being a huge hit!

The tea table, somewhat set up. Once we were done with it, it also featured my great grandmother’s teacups (she had also made that table cloth about 50 years ago!) and different types of teas. My favorites were the Tazo Passion iced tea and Teavana Peach blooming hot tea. This stuff was so cool and looked like a cross between a sea urchin and a rose that blossomed in the tea pitcher. So cool!

The buffet spread featuring another one of my great-grandmother’s handmade tablecloths and tons of yummy food! We had chicken salad sandwiches, my mom’s famous pasta salad, spinach dip, chocolate cups filled with white chocolate mousse, queso (so not tea party food but so freaking good!), brie and baguettes, a fabulous vanilla bundt cake for the cake pull… so much food!

Of course there was also plenty of pastel candy and my favorite item - pink petit fours with Qs on them!!!

My fabulous FMIL made these adorable cookie favors for all the ladies to take home with them. Aren’t they sweet?!

We didn’t play any shower games and basically just mingled, chatted, and drank tea. It was so cool to see my grandmother hanging out with one of my girlfriends from Austin, to see my best friend - BM C - chilling with my FMIL. Everyone seemed to get along well and had a good time!

Everyone was so incredibly generous!! I was seriously spoiled, and BM C has her work cut out for her turning all those ribbons into a pretty rehearsal bouquet! I loved absolutely everything that I was gifted!

Check out the adorable bee apron my mom and sister hooked me up with!

It was such a great time! Thanks to all the fantastic ladies who took time out of their VERY busy schedules to celebrate with me! I feel so blessed to have you all in my life!

xoxo

I love that they were able to incorporate special family items into the shower. Oh, and we had those same pink paper pom poms at my “pink” themed shower and they were a hit! My friend who made them spent so much time making them that she saved all of them and plans to bring them out again for her daughter’s birthday parties for the next several years… ;)
