we were talking about this over on the knot. Apparently the thing is HUGE and doesnt have the same detail printing that the gocco is capable of.

I’m not quite cool enough to be rocking the gocco or a yudu - both really intimidate me!

I still don’t even know how the Gocco works…I don’t know that I’d go for a Yudu!!

I’ve been slowly investigating this. The only thing is that I’ve only seen demos with screen printing on fabrics etc. Has anyone seen one with paper and know that it gets all the fine details of a script?

i saw a video on youtube and the thing looks huge! you’d need ample space for it.

I really want to see how this turns out. I want to buy one but I really want to let it get a little older…

I bought one this weekend. I am going to try it out tonight. Sooo… excited! I saw a demo of detail on paper in the store. it wasn’t perfect but if you don’t need small type you should be fine! The screens thread count is about 50 less than the gocco but they are talking about making one with higher tc for type. It is large but it has a very large print surface. I’ll report back as soon as i try it!

Oohhh…I am dying to see what this thing can do! If I didn’t already love my gocco, I would be on top of this.

Bought a Yudu a few weeks back, frankly i’m either dumb and just can’t figure it out or it really is a piece of crap. We read every forum, tutorial, youtube video, and spoke to a number of people “who worked for provo craft” and still couldn’t figure it out!! I’m glad i bought a gocco works so much better!

I considered buying one but waited until the reviews from HSN (or maybe it was QVC) came in. They were not pretty- I guess its huge and they dont sell the inks or emulsion seperately so once you use it thats it.
I think I’ll wait for another year or so, maybe they will improve by then

They do in fact sell both ink and emulsion seperatly and while it’s a bit expensive it’s supposed to last awhile and is a lot easier to ‘reclaim’ than gocco inks.

I may need to look into this! I have been considering the gocco, but this may be more convenient sicne they are more readily available. Thanks for the heads up!

I’m very tempted…but right now I don’t have the money. I would also be curious to see how it does with paper & text, since that is mainly what I would be using it for.

check out the provo crafts website. There’s a super cheesy video tutorial on how easy it is to use, but in my opinion, the contraption is so large it’s unappealing. However, I was intrigued by it because of the thought of it Gocco like useability!
