Rainbow Sherbet!

I think I can safely say that I am the biggest procrastinator out of all the Bees! Who else changes the color scheme of their wedding with less than 50 days to go before the big event? But I am firmly entrenched in the rainbow sherbet scheme–especially because it is so easy to incorporate aqua and poppy into!

Aqua is sticking around, and poppy has transformed into a coral/pink color. Because we are planning from afar, it has been really hard to determine if all the different decor elements in the wedding will fit into our color scheme. With a broad, rainbow sherbet palette, I can worry less about whether all the colors match exactly. I have plenty of other things to worry about! :)

Source

A while back, I saw this adorable wedding on Snippet and Ink. Aqua and white seem to be the main colors, with touches of light orange and pink mixed in in different places. I also love the vintage prom dresses that the bridesmaids wore! So perfect!

Source

And, because I forgot to include them in my last color post, here is a picture of our bridesmaids’ dresses. The colors are a little distorted in the picture. They look a lot brighter in the picture than they do in person.

Sister Kitten and the bridesmaids’ dresses! The colors are much more mellow in person!

Have you made any drastic color changes during the wedding planning process?

Oh man, your wedding’s going to be so bright and cheery! (It makes me feel all “aughhh!” panicked about my black BM dresses!)

I think you are more indecisive than a procrastinator.
I love the vintage prom dresses- may have to borrow that from that couple.

Beautiful! I transitioned from variations of blue/brown to confectionary colors. But no major changes! Hey, and despite the fact that you’re a procrastinator, I have a strong feeling your wedding will be fab.u.lushious, Kitten!

I love the rainbow sherbet idea.. I know I have plenty of time for the colors. And we picked our colors but I am just not happy with them. They are green, blue and choc. brown. But I am just not feeling them. It seems like I see everyone else’s colors and they are awesome and just seem to look way better. Has anyone else had this problem? Does it get better? Or did you just see your colors and know that they were the ones for your wedding?

Cute! We went from brown, ivory and green to B&W and green. The crispness of black and white made the green pop and I very happy with the results as I am sure that you will be with your settled colours.

I love your idea!! So much easier to incorporate than a strict scheme (like mine…ugh!) But I don’t want to change it…I think my stubborness is working against me!

I’m with Dumpling, please invite me. Your wedding is going to be AMAZING! And happy and cheery and bright. (Wishing I had more bright cheeriness from my Navy, Light Grey and Fuschia color scheme)

Oh brides! I understand what you’re going thru. I myself kept changing the theme and the color motiff almost every 2 weeks. My coordinator is having a hard time. Hahaha. Seriously, I have to finalize it at least 5 months before the wedding.

I’m using the same color scheme! At first it was just the blue (mine is more like a Tiffany Blue/green) and pink, but it was so restrictive. I’ve opened it up to orange and lime and couldn’t be happier! I can’t wait to see what you’ve done with it. Love the BM dresses!!!

I love your colors. Don’t worry - I have only 4 weeks to go and our colors are constantly evolving and growing. Think we are up to 6 now.

I am considering a color switch from our light green (kinda like the weddingbee background) and bright pinks to the full range of sherbet colors. Your pictures and the ones from http://offbeatbride.com/2008/05/sandys-colorful-crafty-hip-but-wont-scare-grandma-wedding have made not worrying about a color scheme as much would be awfully liberating. We already aren’t having that matchy-matchy of a wedding, but I am stubborn about wanting my bouquet to be all green flowers, so I feel like they could easily get overpowered by too much color.
