On one side, I’m a girly girl. I read countless bridal and fashion magazines, and have an obsession with keeping up with the latest Hollywood gossip. On the other side, I’m a sports fanatic. Despite being a full-time bride-to be, full-time research assistant, and part-time student, I’m also a full-time Red Sox fan from spring training to October, and a full-time Patriots fan from mini-camp to February. About Mrs. Toucan

Just when you thought you got rid of me after I finished my recap last week, here I am posting again! :) But it is for good reason–I have more photos to share!

Back in November during Thanksgiving weekend, Mr. Toucan and I had another photo session with our wedding photographer, Robert Mirani. We squeezed into our wedding attire (though it might not have been the best idea right after 2 Thanksgiving dinners!), and took a “self-guided tour” around the Wellesley College Student Center.

The building is simply stunning! We took photos in large open auditoriums:

Used the colorful yellow walls for backdrops:

Chilled on big red comfy couches:

Sat in the middle of stairwells:

Stood in the middle of darkly lit corridors:

Leaned against these super cool lighted lockers (my favorite backdrop!):

And even braved the sub-30 degree weather outside!

Mr. Toucan and I are ecstatic that we have wonderful pictures of the two of us from not one, but TWO post-wedding sessions (the other with Rachel Hadiashar). We are especially grateful to have these photos because our day was so jam-packed with activity, so we didn’t have too many portraits of two of us in our traditional bridal attire.

Do you plan on having a post-wedding session?

I was not planning on doing a post wedding recap but the more I read about it I really think that we should. I was thinking of having the feel of it be really low key my hair down with a few curls and a hair comb.

@kristenrn: Thanks! I actually made the hair piece myself! It was super easy… perhaps a tutorial is in order! :)

@LisaG: Sorry, you went looking for it! I never posted about it because I made it on a whim right before the shoot! I’ll scrounge up some supplies and recreate one for you all. :)

I thought about it. I saw a couple taking pictures this fall at one of the memorials in DC. I thought it was their wedding day but, then I saw the bride in sneakers. She seemed to be very relaxed and in no rush. It actually might be a good idea because our wedding is at night…

Hi Mrs. Toucan - I used the same photographer for my wedding last summer, but haven’t received the album yet, and he won’t return my emails or phone calls. Have you been able to get all your photos? Any advice? Thank you!
