Crocs…

March 6th, 2009 @ 11:44 am by Mrs. Crab Cake

As wedding shoes?

Well, why not? Cute and comfy are a lot of brides’ requirements when it comes to bridal shoes.

c1

Okay, so maybe those are comfy, but as much as I love my crocs, those aren’t exactly bridal.

When we first started our planning, I was determined to wear cute and comfortable shoes.

c2

The Croc Prima was my first choice. Cute, comfy, and they came in my color!

But as the planning progressed, I decided crocs probably weren’t the best choice. One of my bridesmaids also mentioned that they might squeak on the floors of the venues.

But the Crocs line has recently been expanded to include some really cute flats and heels.

c3

You by Crocs, Cape Cod

c4

You by Crocs, Monaco

c5

You by Crocs, Naples.

They come in some really great colors and aren’t complete budget breakers.

So, what do you think? Yay or nay on the Crocs?

I have the Crocs Prima on today!

I’m surpsrised that I like the new Crocs heels so much! I say go for it if that’s what makes you comfortable on your big day.

I would have to see them in person, but they look super-cute. And if they are as comfy as crocs I would grab them up in a heartbeat.

I have a pair of heels from the Crocs You line and I LOVE them. They’re super comfy! When I bought them, I didn’t even realize they were Crocs brand (they were a 70% off Dillards Sale rack find!!)

One of my friends wore white crocs with rhinestones at her reception after the first dance. She said that they made her feet a lot happier! So, I say go for it!

Crocs also have some cute tennis shoes too that I would think would squeak. I where the mary jane ones to work all the time on a faux wood floor and they don’t squeak.

I wonder how comfortable they are? Are “regular” Crocs comfy? I don’t have a pair, but am curious how the heels would feel!

I really dig the Cape Cod and the Monoco. I imagine that they would have pretty good padding, if they’re trying to make heels that are just as comfy as crocs.

Frankly, I love my crocs for running out to the yard in the morning, camping, but nothing could induce me to wear them on my wedding day. Sorry. ^_^ They make my feet look ridiculously huge. It’s horrifying.

I’m of the belief that a person needs to wear “real” shoes with real clothes. Regular Crocs would not be appropriate, but it looks like some of the newer styles would fit!

The Monoco and Cape Cod are so cute! I thinks those versions are totally acceptable, just no the jelly kind :)

Is it just me or do the Prima Crocs make you trip? I’m not the most graceful person ever but I never trip over my own two feet as often as I do when I’m wearing those.

Y’all misunderstood. I’m not wearing crocs. I just thought it was a neat alternative, especially since they came out with that new line.

I love my crocs, they are super comfortable and I can work a 12 hour shift without any pain at all. But, I am ubber clumsy in them.

My best friend wore Prima crocs to her reception (and still wear them ALL the time). I am in LOVE with the fabulous bright colors of the real shoes in the crocs line - just wish those green pumps WEREN’T a peep toe!!

@Mrs. Tiramisu: Hahaha! Is it the rubber-like sole? I’ve tripped in mine before, too. I thought it was just me! Can’t beat the comfort though.

Crabcake, I was contemplating breaking out my silver Primas so I could dance comfortably at our reception. But Mr. G didn’t like my suggestion. Darn it!

@Miss Stiletto: I was going to say the same thing — that they resemble your green maid shoes.

Check out their French Riviera shoes — I can’t believe they’re Crocs, they’re so cute! http://shop.crocs.com/pc-1200-4-french-riviera-metallic.aspx?navcategories=3,123

I swore I’d never wear Crocs, but this You line is great!

I had a pair of Nina heels that I wore, but later on in the night switched to a pair of Croc Prima in the seafoam green, so I am a little bit partial to them.

I am totally loving the You by Crocs though. I’m running over the zappos to check them out! :)

I was worried about comfort for my feetsies too but looking back, I was on such a cloud that day that I could have walked on hot coals and not noticed. ;)

I’ve never worn crocs before because they remind me too much of the jelly shoes that were so popular when I was a kid. I remember that jelly shoes resulted in the smelliest feet ever, and I’ve been nervous to try crocs, because I don’t want a to be smelly footed. :)

I trip over my own feet when I wear crocs :( If anyone is as clumsy as I am then crocs don’t sound too good. My mom loves her primas and they look nice enough for the reception. Unfortunately they can get smelly if you’ve wore them for an entire (stressful) day.

Is it just me or does the patentish material on the You range look wrinkled?
