Finding Gifts for the Girls…

March 9th, 2009 @ 6:03 pm by Mrs. Ballet Flat

Well, so far, I’ve had three gift ideas for my bridesmaids.

1. Jewelry set - earrings and necklace

2. Prettied up Old Navy flip flops using tons of bling!

3. A surprise gift (my bridesmaids have been known to read this blog and I do NOT want them to see this gift until the big day!)

Here’s a fourth fun idea that I found while registering for towels at Macy’s.

These are hand painted martini glasses, and while there are glasses that are wedding related, I wanted to give the girls something for them to relate to and for them to place on their desks at work or at home with pride!

I’d rather not show off the exact ones I will be giving them (yet), but I noticed Lolita has made a few fellow bee martini glasses. It’s kind of neat to see these!

As for me, I could totally see myself settling (not really) with this super cute wedding glass!

Did you get your girls anything personalized to their personalities? What was it?

i’m SO either getting these, or the wine glass versions….or attempting a DIY route and making them all personalized ones with a crystal inital, and paint on the bottom.

we’ll see how that goes =)

I’m planning on customizing champagne glasses for each of my girls that we can then use the morning of for a toast while getting ready! I’ve also made them personalized stationary with each girl’s first initial and monogrammed scarfs/shawls.

I love these. I saw some the other day and did not even think out getting them for the BM until you posted this. I think it would be awesome if I can find them to fit each girl! Like AmyM83 I would like to see your flipFlops.. I found local artist that makes custom soap and bath stuff and had some made for each of my BM.

@AmyM83: I haven’t gotten to making them yet, as they were just shipped to the house. However, give me a few weeks (after the invites are done..my current project) and I’ll give you a post on it!

I love the lolita martini glasses! I got Miss Martini in our Christmas ornament swap and got her the mini ornament version of a martini glass with little ornaments painted on it :) Sounds like you’ve got a great bunch of gifts for your girls!

I have some of the collection- mostly birthday gifts. They are awesome! Each is handpainted, and some even have little rhinestones on them, are beautiful in real life, and make a killer accessory. I sound like a commercial… I’m not associated with Lolita, i just think they’re super cute and I think its a gift idea :)

This is what i’m really struggling with!! All my five bridesmaids each have very different personalities and tastes, so i’m delving into the many, many shops on Etsy almost everyday to try and find the perfect present for each of them! I’ve seen those cocktail glasses here in the UK too, they’re really cute! Good luck on your decision Miss Ballet Flat : )

I got my girls gold necklaces from sonyarenee. Each one has a gold vermeil disk, a flattened pearl, and then a gemstone. I chose different gemstones for each bridesmaid, and I hope they love them! Sonya renee were so great, and made them for me in just 2 days. They even called me to check on my choice of one of the stones, because they weren’t sure if I would like it in person. I highly recommend them!
