Mr. Peep’s Wedding Kicks

March 9th, 2009 @ 10:59 am by Mrs. Peep Toe

While I might be slightly obsessed with the finding the perfect pair of peep toe shoes to wear for the wedding, Mr. Peep has known since day one what he wanted to wear: Chucks.

I don’t know if I was sold on him wearing Connies for the wedding, but as soon as I found out that he could design his own Connies, I knew he needed a pair.

So for Valentine’s Day, he spent about half an hour picking and choosing colors and stitching. The shoes came on Friday. He loves them, and I actually think they are pretty fantastic too!! In fact, he’s persuaded me to let him wear them for both the wedding and the reception.

He got to choose all the colors (of course he’s the best fiance- they match the wedding colors!).

And he even got to personalize them with his name:

I think this is pretty cool way to personalize Mr. Peep’s outfit, and they were only 60 bucks!! I think we’ll have the Groomsmen wear brown Connies too.

Is your Groom adding a little excitement or personalization to his outfit??

I love love the whole look of Chucks with suites..especially if its something that the groom loves to wear. The Mr has fallen in love with a certain pair of brown dress shoes and actually found a suite to go with it becuase he has to wear those shoes and no other pair

Those are some sweet shoes, Peep.

As much as I love the idea, I don’t think my FI would be up for chucks. He always though it was a little strange that his BIL decided to get married in black ones. I might be able to talk him into boots, though. ;)

I didn’t know you could design your own chucks! Mr. Mascara wants to wear some at the reception, I might have to surprise him with a custom pair.

Love it! FH contemplated Chucks also, but he decided he wants to wear “fancy shoes”. I LOVE that Mr. Peep Toe did them in your wedding colors :)
FH is very excited about his tie clip to personalize his outfit :)

I love the color combination Mr. Peep chose, and the personalization on the back makes it so special. He did a great job!

Too cute!! I made myself a pair of Chucks just last week…my old ones were rough after 10 years!! We thought about Chucks for the guys, but CityBoy is the only one that would appreciate them…the others aren’t really Chuck guys.

We did them for our wedding and they came out great. The hubs put our wedding date on the back of his and all the groomsmen had their names. My Dad even wore a pair! They definitely were super fun. :)
