Today we’re featuring Shelley’s Victorian/Edwardian picnic wedding in the park.

Theresa writes, “Since I have pictured my dress, I can tell you that this is where most of my inspiration comes from. My fiance and I are planning a whole weekend getaway for our friends and family. What we want more than anything is to have time to celebrate our love with all those important to us. The wedding day itself is fashioned after a Victorian/Edwardian picnic in the park, since my dress is circa 1900. The colors are taken from an Alphonse Mucha painting (behind the dress) and are warm, but muted, pinks, greens, blues and ivory. The floral sashes and beautiful fabric choices Kathlin offers are just perfect! My maids will be my fiancé’s sister, and 4 of my best friends, one from each stage of my life (which seems weird, but I have moved a lot)! C from Australia, my childhood best friend, S from NY, my teen best friend, KS from Louisville. my College best friend, and KA from Knoxville who is my grown-up best friend. These women have done so much to shape my life and I love them all!”
