My wedding hair and makeup trials are this Sunday, and I have zero inspiration photos. Zip. Nil. Nada.
So, I’m going to spend the next few days doing some necessary homework. My “textbooks”?
My cluelessness also extends to makeup (eek!). I thought an easy place to start would be to identify the celebrity I most closely resemble, so I could target the makeup search to my “double” — but when I uploaded my photo (and just a note: this picture is about two years old, and my hair’s grown a bit past my shoulders since then!), two sites generated completely different match lists!
So, whatd’ya think? Who’s walking around Hollywood with a Miss Bruschetta-like mug? And where do you recommend I search for hair and makeup inspiration?

I second mar8one8 - I’ve thought that since I first saw your avatar picture!!
Maybe it’s just me, but I think (at least in your icon) that you look like Amanda Peet.
I was going to say Anne (Ann? Too lazy to check) Hathaway, too! Especially the mouth. Amanda Peet and Jen Garner are great suggestions, too. Who did the “double” sites say you look like?
I think you look like Jen Garner, but you don’t necessarily have to go with your celebrity “double.” You can go with someone who has similiar features, i.e. fair skin, brunette hair.
Jennifer Garner was my first thought, too! Haha.

How formal are you going? Up do or something more simple. if you are going something up, I found looking at wedding photos easier then just a global search on hair. For example, Bride.com and the knot.com (and other sites like it) have sections with galleries of wedding hair. I have a folder full already and I am torn between a few looks.
As for make-up. I was not really doing a search for it but as i was looking for wedding hair and at portfolios of hairstylists (to find one for my big day) I actually saw some I really like as they usually will do their makeup if they are taking a professional portrait. I even found one on a photographers site. The usually take getting ready pictures which includes close up of the bride. I ran across one that was just stunning and she had my color eyes and face.

I also have a bunch of photos saved on my computer if you want to see some, though they are in general more geared toward naturally curly hair.

I looked for hair inspiration on Project Wedding and Make-up inspiration I found really hard to find personally. I would look in magazines and save celebs make-up looks you like and show those to your make up artist along with telling her what kind of look you want to have on that day!
I think that you look like Elizabeth Reaser. She played Jane Doe/Ava on Greys Anatomy for a while.

i second ashcole’s elizabeth reaser. she also played esme in twilight and the sister in the family stone, if you’re not a grey’s fan. she’s really beautiful. here’s a couple pictures of her where i really like her hair/make up:

@LadyChristine: I’m going to try at least one updo and one half-up. The wedding’ll be black tie preferred, so pretty formal. Also, my hair (unlike Sister Bruschetta’s) can’t hold a curl to save its life!

my first impression was julia roberts… but i can see jennifer garner and ann hathaway too.
In your profile pic you look like Jennifer Garner, but not in the pic you posted with this entry. I think you have a ton of similarity to hilary Swank. Even if you don’t think you look like her, it seems like your coloring is spot on with her and she could be a good makeup inspiration for you.

My first thought was Hilary Swank too! And then I read the comments and discovered I wasn’t alone…
OK- I came up with a celeb before I read other comments and I also thought Hillary Swank! I think it’s the luscious lips, the coloring and the short hair.

AshCole I agree with you! Thats what I first thought but couldnt think of her name, I was like ooh Rebecca! Actress also plays Esme in Twilight…looks much prettier in that movie.
