Centerpiece Idea: Fabric Gourds

March 16th, 2009 @ 3:18 pm by Mrs. Apple Cider

I am a fall bride and proud of it. However, I am not that into pumpkins, or the color orange. For the right bride, the colors would be gorgeous, but for me… not so much. However, I love the idea of using gourds and fall-like items. This weekend I discovered the Etsy Shop of Bubbletime, and fell in love with her fabric gourds.

I think you could also buy one of these and use it as your “ring pillow”. It would be so cute! The prices are awesome, ranging from $10 and up.

I bet if you emailed Jenny at Bubbletime she could custom-make something for you! What a fun idea.

Are you a fall bride? Are you incorporating typical fall themes into your wedding?

I was married in Sept 07 and my colours were sage green and chocolate, I agree I love fall but orange wasn’t a good colour for me, but I love these pin cushions!

How adorable!? :) I’m also a fall bride, October 2009, and also not going for the typical Fall colors!

I am a fall bride but I just realized we are not using any fall elements. Maybe if she can do the pumpkins in our wedding colors we could incorporate them in. They are soooo cute!

Is Sept still fall?! I’ve always wanted to be a fall brides.. I think it’s the best weather but I’ve never had the desire to incorporate it into my wedding so I don’t think I’m going to :-(

I am getting married at the end of September, but I am trying to stay away from the typical “fall wedding” stuff. It is really hard!

I would totally have one of those in the kitchen as a ring holder for when I’m baking!! How cute would that be as a permanent kitchen fixture??

I’m doing fall like themes! I am thinking of using mini orange pumpkins (ie, gords) with escort tags pinned into them.

I was at a fall wedding recently where the centerpieces were real white pumpkins that had the tops sawed off and flowers inside. It was super cute and not orange! :)

I think those would make for some very cute ring-bearer pillows too. You could put the rings on the stem. So cute!

Those are so adorable, and I love the idea of making them into little ring pillows! My mom has made gourds similar to those out of panty hose for Halloween parties in the past. Always a cute surprise!
