About Mrs. Lemonade

T-Minus One Month

March 18th, 2009 @ 5:44 pm by Mrs. Lemonade

Well, well, well. One month from today we will be in San Antonio, blissfully exchanging our vows in front of our family and friends who have traveled from near and far to witness our blessed union. This I am so very excited about. For one, I cannot wait to be married to my best friend and to express the love I feel for him, to join our families, and to celebrate with all our loved ones. I also cannot freaking wait for this planning to be over. Seriously. It’s not really fun anymore.

Over the past couple of days, so many loose ends that we’ve been trying to tie up have come unraveled. I haven’t heard the arrangement or pieces of music for our ceremony. Timing? Well, let’s hope it works. Wedding rings? Yeah, starting over on those. The cheap-ass national chain that we were going to purchase them from, the one that told us on multiple occasions that they could have the rings in 3-4 days, told us last night that it would be a minimum of 45 days until my ring comes in. Now, I’m not the best at math, but methinks that timeframe isn’t going to work. Awesome. There are countless other little BS issues I could share with you, but I simply don’t have the energy and, to be honest, I feel sorta bridezilla-ish complaining all the time.

So here we are, one month out, and I fear sleep and socializing are luxuries that I won’t be able to afford until after April 18th. Oh well. Here’s to hoping it’ll be a damn good party.

Awww Lemonade at least you only have a month! And just keep telling yourself that in the end no matter what happens you’ll be married to your best friend. And set up at least one night a week to not do wedding stuff, it’ll save you your sanity

I hear you I’m T-minus 18days till we leave for the DW. I just told my planner to look for a Plan B church, yep the staff has been MIA for a month now! Kinda an important part of the wedding that has unraveled and with it the ceremony music too. Just keep Breathing and it will all fall together right??? xoxoxo

Remember the goal of the event, not the crap that comes before it!! While details are great, if you skip them no one will notice. AKA- who will really remember what song you walked down the aisle too?? Good luck. I know you can do it!!

I’m with ya on the planning thing, but I’m just under 2 months out! I’m looking more forward to the day after the wedding than the day of!

I am totally feeling you! We’re also past the fun, dreamy planning stage and have entered into the “OMG I HOPE THIS ALL COMES TOGETHER BECAUSE I CAN’T POSSIBLY FIT ONE MORE THING ON MY PLATE” stage. Fun times.

I’m exchanging vows 4/18/09 in Jamaica and I completely understand! The ticker-tape of all the things I need to do is whipping through my head at an alarming rate.

It might seem rough right now but think about it this way - no matter what gets done, or doesn’t get done, in one month + plus one day you will be married!

Miss Lemonade, I had to laugh (just a little!) when I saw your post today — we are both April 18 brides, and we both blogged today about what I lovingly call the “everything-is-going-awry” phase. Hang in there! In 31 days, we will both be on the other side… The glorious, beautiful other side. :)

I can’t imagine how frustrating the ring situation is!

Good luck - you can do it! In the end, all the things won’t matter because you’ll be married. :)

Miss Lemonade, I’ve missed your posts! When I read the last line of today’s post, I couldn’t agree with you more. That’s all I keep thinking about- how frigging amazing the party is going to be!

You know, sometimes I find the times when I’m MOST stressed are the times that somewhere deep inside I find the strength to endure. Like so many others bees have said - keep your eye on the prize, and I’m sure that it will come together in the end.

Good Luck! And remember that we’re all rooting for you!

I hear you… time seems like it just slips away! But hang in there… these are all minor things in the scheme of things… soon you will be marrying your wonderful man, and years from now, people won’t remember all those tiny details! (Except the rings… those are big! Hee hee!)
