Mrs. Ballet Flat, New Orleans Age and Occupation: 24, Geographic Information Systems Analyst Fiance's Age and Occupation: 26, IT Analyst Engagement Date: March 16, 2008 Wedding Date: May, 2009 Blogging Since: September 25, 2008 Venue: St. Charles Borromeo Church/Jefferson-Orleans North About Me: I absolutely love wedding planning, spending time with Mr. Ballet Flat, various crafts, watching football, baking, pop music, bargain hunting and ice cream. My idea of a great date night is dinner and clearance shopping with Mr. Ballet Flat! I currently live below sea level in the suburbs near New Orleans, where I make maps all day, everyday for my job. I'm slowly becoming more and more obsessed with anything New Orleans related for our wedding, and I can't wait for the big day!
About Mrs. Ballet Flat

This time it was a party of one to complete this task, but I will say that it was pretty darn easy. I borrowed the idea of Goccoing napkins from Mrs. Cupcake who got the idea from Mrs. Cream Puff. The only difference is that I don’t think we have fun facts, like they did. I’m a little lame :) . So, I designed some generic napkins and printed them on teal and brown napkins.

Something I noticed on the Gocco is that lint gets stuck to the sticky pad, so for you to keep the stickiness going, you need to wipe the lint off. A little bit of screen cleaner can do this for you. In fact, if you ever notice that your sticky pad needs to be stickier like it originally was, just use a little bit of screen cleaner and a paper towel. :)

I also used Cupcake’s tip of holding down part of the napkin while pressing the ink onto the napkin. The napkin will stick to the screen and could smear if you aren’t careful when pulling napkin off. So, holding a piece of the napkin with your hand before pulling the screen back up will help immensely!

Without further ado, here are our cocktail napkins!

Pardon the paint sprays. I was having trouble with Photoshop and wanted to share!!

Up next from the Gocco party? THE INVITES!! I’m so excited to send them out this week!! :)

Will you personalize any small details of your wedding with your own names or motif? What are you personalizing?

Very cute. I’m totally jealous of all the bees and hive members who rock the Gocco!

Another trick to making your sticky pad sticky again (if you don’t have any screen cleaner) — roll over it a bunch of times with one of those sticky lint rollers! Mrs. Penguin introduced me to this idea and it works like a charm :-)

you can get the same effect with a stamp and the staz on ink pads! go on line to get a custom stamp made and buy the ink pads at michaels. the ink is oil based (like the gocco inks) so they wont smear when wet. (also take longer to dry initially though)

I just sold my gocco, i had many fun times with it!

yours turned out great!

Funnily enough, I was thinking of a fleur-de-lis motif as well! Your napkins look really nice - and everyone’s projects make me want a Gocco a lot - but I don’t know if I should now that they’re being discontinued. Boooo.

I heart your gocco party. We plan on doing our cocktail napkins as well a la previous bees but we couldn’t come up with very many fun facts either! We might do some fun facts about Maine since most of our guests are from OOT.

like mrs. cupcake I use something different for my lint, packing tape!! it’s super cheep and one piece can be used quite a few times, just stick on and pull off :)

super cute napkins! I have been procrastinating sitting down and doing mine but you have inspired me to get it together!!
