Now that the weather is warming up, it’s about time this little birdie got her feathery tush in gear and resumed her recaps!

I’m sure every girl thinks about what it would be like to walk down the aisle with the love their life waiting at the end of it. Well, this is how it went for me.

z187237

Man I loved the train of my dress. It was actually one of my favorite parts of the dress.

The whole freaking time I was thinking, “DON’T TRIP!”

z187315

If you read The Secret Life of Bees: Lovebird Edition, you’ll remember secret number 5 referring to how much I hate wearing heels. Well, that came back to bite me in the ass.

The result… I have a lot of pictures of me looking down!

z18731501

Mr. Lovebird and the boys waiting for me to walk down the red-carpeted aisle:

z18731502

My lovely ladies waiting for me to make it down the aisle:

z18731503

Okay, okay, I’m coming!

z18731504

Almost there… and looking down, of course…

z18731505

I like to think Mr. Lovebird is thinking, “Yea, that’s right, hug it out, from now on, you’re mine now!”

z18731506

I wasn’t planning on posting this, but I know how much you guys love an ugly-cry-face bride. I have many more during the “hand off”, but I will spare myself the embarrassment.

z18731507

And the “hand off” (imagine me saying this in John Madden’s voice)

z18731508

If I could do one thing over during the ceremony, I would have gone back in time and told myself to not look down the whole freakin’ time!

Did you ever think this would be problem? Learn from my mistake, ladies. While walking down the aisle, keep looking ahead!

For those of you who’ve already made the trip down the aisle, was there anything you would have done differently?

A special shout-out to our little Dumpling getting married today. Remember… look ahead at your handsome hubby-to-be, and smile!

That is such great advice something that I wouldn’t even think about. I look down when I wear heels and I am sure that I will want to do that since I am not used to wearing a big foofy dress. Thanks Lovebird

I would have stopped at the top of the aisle for a second and LOOKED, really LOOKED at everyone who was there. As it was, I rushed past everyone and didn’t even remember it.

Wow, you look so beautiful!! Even when you’re looking down, you’re hot. So don’t sweat it :)

Actually, if it makes you feel any better, Mr. G’s favorite pics of me - I’m usually looking down! Ok, I’ll stop now. Lovely pics!!

I don’t blame you for looking down. I’m sure I’ll end up looking down…I’m worried about tripping, too. In my sister’s wedding most of her pictures as she walked down the aisle are of her looking down. I don’t blame her one bit though, she had to walk down about 30 steps as part of the aisle (it was in an outdoor garden “amphitheater”)

You look so beautiful! Keep the recaps coming!

In most of my “walking down the aisle” shots either me or my dad is looking down. I don’t think there were any of us both looking forward!
