Signage Bonanza!

March 23rd, 2009 @ 11:28 am by Mrs. Lemonade

This weekend has been a complete whirlwind of shopping, crafting, and way more shopping! Now that we are under the one month mark I feel a bit of a fire under me to start knocking out and finishing up all the DIY projects that I had on the back burner. Since I haven’t done anything crafty in a couple of months, to ease myself back in I decided to knock out all of the signage yesterday afternoon.

For the guestbook table

Signage Bonanza! : wedding decor diy reception P322001 I went a little semi-DIY with the signs for the backs of our chairs for the reception and picked up a kit at Michaels from the Brides line. The blue outline was brown, but I took my trusty navy paint pen to it and added a bit of navy double-faced satin ribbon to make them our own.

I also knocked out a few quick reserved seating signs for the ceremony. I simply printed out “Reserved” in navy Feel Script on some PaperSource luxe cream card stock and mounted them to some navy cardstock (which for some reason looks more royal blue here, but I assure you, it’s not), then added a little decorative punch around the edges and some ivory satin ribbon.

Okay, now that that’s complete, on to the programs…

Looove the chair signs. It gets overlooked at so many weddings but is such a nice touch — and one of the first times you get to actually USE your new name. They look gorgeous with the navy ribbons too! Great job!

The reserved signs came out great, they all did, but I especially love the edges!

Looks great, although the text on the first few looks a bit small.

Where did you get your photo frames from? Any tips on where to find cheap frames?

I love the guest book signs a lot. Did you have a certain pattern you used and just cut out to get that shape?

Just wondering how big are your signs? I have some 6×4 frames I am thinking of using — but I am getting mixed opinions from my family, that they are the perfect size, or that they are too small!
