The invitation package that we sent to our guests had 7 total pieces (including envelopes). The envelopes, mail invitation, rehearsal dinner invitation, and RSVP card were hand letterpressed onto the super yummy Arturo paper in two colors - a deep midnight navy and a more mellow French Blue. The map and accommodations card (not pictured) were printed on the same paper on a laser printer. I want to go ahead and apologize now for the poor picture quality (truly, the pictures do not truly reflect how lovely the invites really are!) and all of the blurring of the personal information. I tried to keep it at a minimum…
The outer envelope featured Sarah’s beautiful calligraphy and the cliche (but easy) wedding heart stamp. We lucked out big time and only needed one .59 cent stamp per invite!
The back flap of the envelope was letterpressed with this adorable sentiment and the punctuation was a subtle nod the Fiesta tinged rehearsal dinner. We utilized Feel Script font here and throughout the suite. The back flap also featured our awesome new address stamp stamped in gold ink and a gold wax seal stamped with a fleur-de-lis to close it all up.

Holy cow, what a chore it was to sit there and melt the wax for and stamp one-by-one all 80 invitations that we mailed. Whatever. I think it was worth it in the end.

I lined both envelopes in navy linen paper and arranged all of the pieces so they fit together snugly in the main envelope.

The main invite was a bit larger than most standard sized invites (I guess that’s the Italian paper). The edges were deckled and I took my trusty corner rounder to every.single.corner. I think I had to retire 3 different rounders as they kept going dull and would stop working. That Arturo is hardcore!

We also included the rehearsal dinner invite in the package as all guests are invited to both events.

Once again, letterpressed Arturo and rounder corners. We had a bit of fun with the wording on the RSVP card and switched up the standard “will attend/will not attend” for something a smidge more creative. We also added our wedding website url to the bottom since I didn’t feel comfortable splashing the registry info on the printed pieces.

We printed this little map off and included it in each package as well (this one is one of the “rejects” as you can see it’s not centered on the paper). Our incredibly awesome and talented designer, Judy, knocked this bad boy out and sent me the file. While I doubt any of our guests will be relying upon this to direct them to the various events, it was a nice touch to add to the package and (I think) helps the out of towners get a semblance of where everything is located relative to each other.
Well, there you have it, the final suite that was labored over so lovingly. I want to again send a little shout out to Judy and Arnold as they were an absolute dream to work with. They were so incredibly professional with their output, however, extremely accommodating as well. Judy is so sweet and when she could tell I was stressed with wedding stuff would go out of her way to check in just to see how I was doing and to offer a bit of perspective, etc. I love it when “vendors” end up becoming friends. If you want to make friends with them too, they can be reached at pinwheel_press@att.net.
